❣︎ | Rage |
Tumblr media
The bird is capable of the same whip-crack rage as his brother if someone pushes him on a few very specific triggers - primarily those related to body boundaries and chasing people to harm / threaten them, especially children. He just tends to have a really rigid sense of guilt and self-control, where his brother has none.
My portrayal of C.ora has absolutely hurt someone significantly and disproportionately for touching him when he did not want to be touched.
Being chased / pursued / caught is something he has had nightmares about since he was small for obvious reasons, and continues to have indefinitely with variable frequency.
Comforting him after these isn't always possible for someone else to do. Time alone and strong sensory pressure help - something controlled to feel something on purpose, cold exposure like an ice bath or time out in the snow without winter gear come to mind.
L.aw running through the hospital while the doctors scream about catching him spooks him every time
There has been an instance where L.aw has had to scream at him and hit him across the back / shoulders with something to get him to stop hurting someone - probably a doctor or another encounter with someone that treated Law particularly poorly.
He usually talks less after things like this, and getting him to talk directly about anything like this afterwards is like pulling teeth.

Chris was always on top of everything, it was one of the things he prided himself on when it came to his life; he kept track of schedules and deadlines, he made sure everyone was clear on instructions and plans, and he managed healthy routines - outside of his sleep schedule.
He made sure everything was perfect and went according to the plan carefully crafted in his head, and not just for his sake - but for yours.
It had been a while since the world was introduced to nearly half of its population being some sort of shifter - hell, the industry was wonderfully saturated with shifters and shifter supporters itself - but things were different when it came to you.
You knew he was a shifter, he’d let you know that since the beginning - he just didn’t let you know what type of shifter he was; and, no, it wasn’t because he wanted to lie to you, far from it.
He was trying to protect you.
It was always speculation on what type of shifter he was amongst the fans, majority of them settling on a dog type of some sort - some even going so far as picking breeds - and they weren’t wrong in a sense, but they definitely weren’t in the right vein.
He was a wolf shifter; a werewolf for the sake of lesser words - an alpha to be exact, and though they weren’t the rarest of shifters, they weren’t regarded in the highest of honors when it came to the general media and in the same breath they were often fetishized to fit a specific stereotype.
Chris swore he would tell you when the time was right - he knew you were one of the biggest supporters when it came to all shifters - but his fear of your reaction always held him back; his fear of losing you over something he’d seen so many people before him get ridiculed for making the confession die on his tongue.
So, fate took matters in their own hands.
He knew something was wrong when he woke up with a start, an all too familiar heat blanketing his barely clothed body and coating him in a thin sheen of sweat, his senses dialed to ten as he took in the way the fan in the corner spread your scent around the bedroom; cinnamon and pound cake with an undercut of strawberries.
A low rumble vibrated through his chest, and he was close to chalking it up to a random heat spike until a flash of pain struck through his abdomen, a sharp hiss passing through clenched teeth as he tried his best not to wake you.
No… This wasn't- Could it?
Scooting his body away from the loose spooning position you both were in, he rolled onto his back and stretched his arm out in search of his phone on the nightstand. Feeling the sleek device against his fingers, he grabbed it and wasted no time in unlocking it with his fingerprint; squinting against the brightness in search for his calendar.
His worst fear was confirmed at the sight of a little red bubble highlighting the current day, the single letter ‘R’ reminding him of the one thing that managed to slip his mind among all the hustle and bustle of his life.
His rut was starting.
“Fuck… Fuck!” He whispered, eyes flicking to the time before turning off his phone and returning it back to its charging block.
He always had a plan when it came to his rut; he would stay at the dorm under the guise of saving time on transportation for early schedules, lock himself in his room, and do everything in his power to quell the almost insatiable urge to claim and breed - more specifically, claim and breed you.
However, his schedules lately have been drowning him to no end in work, recordings, practices, and preparing for their next comeback - always ending the day with him slugging his way through a shower and ultimately passing out in bed next to your already sleeping form.
There was no way he could justify a 1:43 AM trip to the dorms, if he had to stay at the dorms he’d be there straight from the JYP building, and if there were an emergency then he’d get a call that would wake both you and him.
Should he just risk it? Lie to you yet again and leave you in your shared bed alone?
His stomach turned at the thought, a displeased growl emanating from his throat.
“Channie?”
He could feel his heart - and dick - jump at the sound of your sleep laced voice, sharp eyes watching in the dark as you shuffled around to face him; even with a puffy face and barely open eyes, you were the most beautiful person he’d ever seen.
“‘S everything okay? The kids alright?”
His breath caught, mind running too wild for his own good - kids, you were so caring, so selfless, nurturing, he could give you his kids, he could give you his pups.
“Chris?” You blinked at him, confusion threading through your voice as you reached your hand out to touch him, “Are you-”
His hand shot out to grab you by the wrist, grip tightening in the smallest of ways as he kept you from coming any closer.
“Don’t.” He gritted, willing himself to ignore the feeling of your pulse beneath his fingertips - a slight jump, a hint of worry, a spike of fear spicing your scent. “I- I’m sorry, baby, but I - I need to leave.”
Lips drawn into a frown, your eyebrows creased softly, “You need to- why? What’s going on?”
“Nothing’s going on, love-”
“Then why do you have to leave? Is it one of the boys?”
“No, they’re fine-”
“So what is it? What aren’t you telling me?”
The broken sound in your voice was making his head spin, every instinct within him urging him to comfort you, to make you feel better - he could make you feel better, you could make him feel better.
“Christopher,” you started, sitting up enough to prop yourself up with your left hand, gazing down at him with soft eyes, “tell me what’s going on, baby, please, let me help you.”
Caring, understanding, open and willing, you’d shown him time and time again that you weren’t scared of them, you weren’t scared of him - so why did he keep telling himself to push you away?
Why did he never realize that hiding from you was doing the exact opposite to what he was trying to do?
Blinking hard, he let go of your wrist in favor of pressing his hand to his face, the faint hint of strawberries simultaneously calming him and sending him into a mental spiral.
“I… I’m- It’s my rut, and I-” Dragging his hand across his face, he let it fall to the small space between the both of you, staring defeatedly at the ceiling above, “I don’t want to put that pressure onto you, I don’t trust myself to be around you.”
There was a beat of silence, he couldn’t bring himself to look at you, scared of what expression you could have been holding - that is, until he felt the bed shift and a familiar weight settle itself around his hips, just barely hovering above his lap.
His eyes snapped to yours, hands instinctively finding their home on your hips, hidden underneath the familiar cotton of his t-shirt. “Baby-”
“Chris,” your voice was firm, almost challenging as your hands slid to cover his, “I don’t want you to keep hiding yourself from me.” Feeling his body tense, you nodded softly, “Yeah - I figured out why you always went to the dorms for days on end, and I thought you’d come to me when you were ready but you didn’t.”
He could feel the disappointment radiating off of you, tinging the sweet aroma he knew and loved - he had royally fucked up.
“Princess, I’m sorry - I’m so, so sorry, I really didn’t mean to-”
“I know, baby, you meant well and I love you for that - you’re so selfless it makes me want to punch you sometimes.” A light laugh rolled past your lips and you felt him slightly deflate underneath you, relaxing just a bit, “So, to make up for it, you’re going to let me be selfish and let me help you from now on.”
He went to open his mouth in retaliation but you beat him to the punch, lowering yourself onto his lap fully, nestling his clothed cock against your equally clothed cunt, the warmth barely hidden behind the cotton short circuiting his brain.
“You will let me help you, because you and I both know this pussy is leagues better than whatever you’d be using at the dorm.”
“M-My hand,” he gritted, chest heaving with deep breaths as he tried to ignore the pulsing coming from you or him or both.
“Just your hand?” You mused, tilting your head slightly.
“That’s all I’m admitting right now.” Licking his lips, he paused for a second, “Well, not all - there’s one other thing…” Watching as you nodded for him to continue, he let out a slow breath, “I’m not a dog.”
Your eyebrows furrowed, “I… I never called you a d-”
“I’m a wolf.”
“Oh.”
Okay, that throb definitely came from you.
“An alpha.”
“Oh.”
The spike in your scent nearly made him lightheaded, the headiness of your arousal further thickening the already addicting smell, “A-And I promise I’ll be gentle, but if it’s too much-”
“Safeword.” You finished for him, the conversation mirroring one you’ve both had before, “I promise I’ll let you know - now, can I help you?”
Chris wasn’t sure how he was able to contain himself as long as he was with you on top of him, looking down at him with so much warmth, understanding, acceptance - that would’ve been enough to get him through the next few days alone.
Well, in theory, at least.
Nodding to your question, he watched as your lips pulled into a soft smile before your hands moved to tug at your shirt, “Help me take this off?”
He didn’t need to be told twice as his hands moved down to the hem that was pooled around your hips, fingers hooking underneath and dragging along your sides as he slowly slid the fabric up your torso,
Meeting him halfway, you pulled the shirt off the rest of the way, throwing it to some dark reach of the bedroom to be found at a later time, hopefully.
A slow hiss escaped him, large hands running across your sides and up your stomach, blazing a trail to cup your breasts in his palms. “Fuck me…”
“That’s what I’m trying to do,” you teased, arching into the warmth of his hands, “I thought you’d be absolutely ravaging me by now, mister wolf.”
He scoffed out a laugh, peering up at you with inquisitive eyes, “You want me to?”
“Helping you includes letting you use me however you need, so; please, Chris, use me.”
His body shivered underneath you, and before you knew it your nipples were subject to the slightly cold air of the room yet again - budding quickly in the change of temperature as his hands flew to your panties.
“Up.” He murmured, low tone bordering on a growl.
Heeding his command, you pushed yourself up onto your knees, just for a harsh tearing sound to reach your ears and bring your slightly dazed attention to your panties - or rather, the remains of your panties. He quickly tore a line down the other side before tugging it from underneath you, the sorry excuse for underwear nothing more than an ‘H’ shaped cloth before being flung into the darkness.
“Babe!”
“I’ll buy you more, whatever you want, whenever you want,” he huffed nonchalantly, bringing his right hand to your face, tapping his finger against your pouted bottom lip, “now, open.”
Choosing to save your faux sadness for another time, you parted your lips and brought two of his fingers into your mouth, tongue immediately swirling around the digits as you sucked lightly.
His eyes fluttered, dick painfully and pitifully straining against his boxer briefs, eagerly recalling the way that same tongue felt against his length - tomorrow, for sure.
Pulling his fingers from your mouth with a soft pop, he brought his hand back down between your parted legs, ghosting against your outer lips, “Tell me if it’s too much.”
You nodded reassuringly, “Promise.”
With your confirmation, he dipped his fingers between your lips, collecting your arousal on his spit-slicked digits before pressing them against your slit, slowly sinking them in all the way to his knuckles.
A low moan fell from your lips as his fingers stretched you open, head lolling back with bated breaths while your thighs slightly shook from holding yourself up, “C-Can’t you go faster? We’ve had sex before, baby, I know what you feel like.”
“Ruts are… It’s different than how things normally are,” he murmured, setting a thorough pace of curling his fingers with fluid motions of his wrist, “I don’t want to hurt you.”
Patience was never your friend, especially when it came to having your boyfriend in the best way imaginable, and you huffed in disdain. “You won’t- ah, hurt me, I’m wet enough, you can feel it, you know I am!”
He growled your name through gritted teeth, noting the way your walls clenched around  his fingers in response, “I know you’re excited, but I know how this works - I’m not fucking you until I know you’re ready.”
He was right, you knew he was, but you were desperate - you needed this as much as he did and maybe he was aware of that, too. Maybe he knew how much you missed him, wholly and truly as you watched him slowly get taken over by work and worry.
Sparing him the rest of your needy insistence, you adjusted yourself to lean over him, resting your bare chest against his while laying your cheek against his pillow; inadvertently opening yourself up more for his fingers to work through.
“Good girl,” Chris cooed, his free hand cupping the outside of your thigh, “it’ll be quick, I swear.”
If there was one thing to know about Chris, it was that he kept his promises, and somewhere between the hums of praise against your ear and the well timed strokes of his fingers, you found yourself three fingers deep and on the cusp of an orgasm.
“Channie, please,” you panted against his pillowcase, head spinning and ears picking up on the wet sound of his fingers dutifully working you toward your high, “wanna- fuck- wanna come on your dick, please? Please, baby, can I?”
“Love, I…” The attempt of formulating an excuse died on his tongue - you were ready, he could feel it in more ways than one, the evidence dripping down the palm of his hand.
Pushing yourself to your forearms, you hovered over his body with all the strength you could muster, gazing down at him with lust fogged eyes. “I-I told you, if it was too much I’d let you know, remember? Chris, please,” dipping your head down, your lips pressed against his plump pair in what you could only express as hopeless desperation, “this is too much, I want you in me, now.”
A shaky breath fell from his lips as his fingers stilled, willing himself to focus on the pressure of your forehead against his while your words did everything in their power to rouse his instincts.
You were ready, you wanted him - he needed you.
The next thing you registered was the long, slow drag of his fingers out of your pussy, the way your walls clenched around nothing almost enough to make you beg for him to go back to fingering you; that is, if it weren’t for the feeling of his forearms brushing against the inside of your thighs.
It was a short struggle of working his boxer briefs down his thighs with you still on top of him, but he persevered and soon they were shuffled down his legs and kicked off the side of the bed, leaving you both fully naked under the cool light of the moon streaming through the window.
You wasted no time in sitting up fully yet again, reaching behind you to take his dick in your hand and running the smooth tip along your dripping folds.
“Baby, hold- oh, fuck-” Chris’ hands flew to your hips as you began sinking down on him, his mind going blank at the feeling of your all-too-tight walls hugging every inch of his girth.
“S-So big,” you gasped, eyebrows pinching as you sunk further, “it feels- jesus christ, it feels bigger - oh my god-”
“I told you, everything’s different when I’m in rut - everything.” Hissing out a short breath, he blinked away the haze and watched your face, “Don’t rush yourself, take it slow - and if it hurts-”
“-safeword, I know, baby, just-” Sucking in a breath, you steeled your nerves before releasing it in a slow exhale, relaxing your muscles as best as you could, “I know you trust me, but I need you to trust yourself, okay?”
Blinking up at you, he let your words settle in his head - he trusted you beyond a shadow of a doubt, no questions asked, but now he needed to show himself that same level of love.
So, he did; relaxing against the bed to witness you gently fuck yourself with the half of his length currently inside of you, your hands played against his chest for further support.
With each inch slid out came a new inch that slid in, airy moans floating past your lips as you felt your walls flutter to accompany the new stretch until you were sat in his lap and twitching at the promise of your first orgasm.
“Good girl, look at you - fuck, you’re taking me so well.”
This was better than anything he could’ve dreamt of; the way your nails dug into his chest, your head bowed as you tried composing yourself as best you could, all while your pussy hugged him in a way that made his hormonal mind spin.
“B-Big.” You gasped out, involuntarily clenching your walls with a sharp inhale, “So big, Channie.”
Truly you meant to say more, you wanted to talk about how perfect he was and how good he felt, but your brain was set on how immensely full you were and how the stretch was unlike anything you’ve ever felt despite how big he normally was to begin with.
“I told you,” he taunted in a sing-song voice, shifting his hips upwards and earning a high pitched mewl from you in return, “but you wanted to prove yourself, wanted to help your wolf, didn’t you?”
“Y-Yes,” nodding mindlessly, you locked your eyes with his own, watery and blown out with lust, “wanna help you - want you to use me, baby.”
His breath caught, hands flexing against the flesh of your thighs as he fought back the urge to make do on your words - not yet.
“Use me first, love.” Sliding his hands up to your hips, Chris held you tight, “Come for me, then I’ll show you how thankful I am for you, yeah?”
You nodded once more before shifting your pressure onto your calves and his chest, rising halfway off of his cock to sink back in a slow rhythm - though, even that simple motion had a breathless whimper falling from your lips. After another test bounce, you picked up the pace and rode him with as much vigor as you could muster; his grip on you guiding and assisting your motions in the process.
Ragged pants and moans filled the room, though most of the sounds came from you as you fought against the fiery licks of your orgasm at your heels, wanting to ride him as close to completion as you possibly could - not that you fared any better with him any other time.
“I can feel you clenching, baby,” he grunted, bucking his hips up at your next fall, “gonna come for me? Are you gonna come for me, princess?”
“Mhm- ‘M close,” your body felt like it was on fire, thighs burning with exertion through each rise and fall that brought you closer and closer to that sweet release. “Please, please, Chris, I’m so close.”
On instinct, he brought his right hand up from its place on your hip and pressed his thumb to your bottom lip, watching as you graciously parted your lips to lick at the pad before he brought it back down to the apex of your thighs; spreading your lower lips to press his slick thumb against your clit.
It only took a few well timed flicks for you to stutter in your riding, freezing in his lap as your pussy fluttered and clenched sporadically; clipped breaths and broken moans of his name filling the air.
“Ah, C-Chris- Chris!”
The way your nails dug into his chest should’ve hurt - there would undoubtedly be marks left behind in the morning - but the only thing running through his mind was the way you looked practically vibrating in his hold, your scent further flooding his senses as the warmth of your cum further slickened his cock.
You barely had the chance to fully come down from your high when you felt a shift - then, you were falling, your back landing on the mattress and a pillow cushioning the back of your head; you were on your back now, and hovering above you was your massive, borderline feral, boyfriend.
“Did so good for me,” he purred, hands sliding up your stomach to your breasts, then down again to your thighs and the backs of your knees, “such a good girl, my good girl - mine.”
A shiver ran down your spine, your pussy clenching around his length that was, surprisingly, still inside of you despite the change of positions.
“So perfect - can’t even believe you’re real sometimes.” He raised your legs up and slightly outward, eyes set in a firm gaze where you were still connected, “You deserve so much, ‘m gonna give you everything - anything you want, it’s yours.”
“You.” Breathless and starry-eyed, you spoke up once more, “I just want you, please, Chr- Please, alpha.”
The speed at which his eyes met yours would’ve made you think you said something horrendously wrong, but when all you saw was a shadow of dominance further darkening his lust blown irises, you knew your words coaxed something free.
“You want me?” His tone was low, velvety, though the grip on the backs of your knees tightened and, without warning, he bucked his hips forward to sheath a lingering inch or so back inside of you, “Then take me, princess.”
If anything, his words were a warning for what was soon to come as you were held spread open for his viewing pleasure; the sound of the mattress squeaking becoming a background tempo to the rhythmic slapping of his thighs to the bottom of your ass - fast and deep, each thrust slowly inching your body up the bed as he easily followed.
Your hand pressed against the headboard, anchoring you in place before the top of your head could meet the wood, while the other wrapped around his forearm and held on for dear life - the only thing leaving your mouth being short moans and a chorus of ‘ah, ah, ah’s.
“I’ll give you everything,” Chris huffed breathlessly, his heated gaze traveling up your body before landing on your face, “all of me - my love, my knot, my cum-” A shudder ran through his body, his thrusts growing faster, “-every last drop, just like you want, yeah?”
The closest thing to a confirmation you could offer was a rapid nod of your head, eyes rolling as the fat head of his cock brushed against a spot that had you seeing stars.
“Words, baby - tell me.”
“Yes!” You cried out, tears of pleasure pricking your eyes as your second orgasm reared its head, “W-Want it- Want your knot! Need you to- F-Fuck, need you to fill me, please!”
Suddenly, you were dragged from the top of the bed toward the middle with ease, the presence of his hands behind your knees now changing to him locking your legs around his hips and propping himself up above you on his forearms.
“I’ll knot you so well, baby,” his nose brushed against yours, lips ghosting with each hushed word, “give you everything I have - I’ll make sure it sticks, you just need to take it.”
You panted pleas and promises against his lips, your arms locking around his shoulders as a hand found its way to his hair, while the other splayed across the top of his back - too far gone to fully consider the words he was saying, you just needed him.
“You can take it, you can take it.” He murmured softly, a stark contrast to the frantic thrusts currently shaking your body, “I know you can take it, right? It’ll fit, I’ll make it fit.”
A sudden grind of his hips had you flying over the edge of your second orgasm unexpectedly, barely managing a sharp moan as your back arched off of the bed as best it could with him caging you in.
Chris shivered, driving into you with short, sharp ruts as his orgasm finally began to show, the anticipation making him pant heavily above you while his eyes scanned your blissed out face; your body thrumming with the aftershocks of your high.
“C-Channie.” You whimpered, eyebrows pinching as a new presence made itself known in your abdomen, “Channie, w-what-”
“It’s okay, it’s okay,” he soothed instantly, though his pace remained unchanged, “‘m almost there, princess, I just need-” A pained grunt escaped him, the beginnings of his knot starting to grow, “I need you to take it for me- Please, please, baby, take it, take me, okay? You can do it, you can.”
The increasing stretch made you keen, your nails now digging into his back in an attempt to counteract the pain, “It’s- It’s too much, baby - oh my god.” Despite your feigned protests, you found yourself locking your legs around his hips, your body more than willing to cross this next hurdle.
Each pull out became shallower and shallower, his knot slowly getting caught in your walls.
“Please, please, please, please, please.” He chanted desperately, his right hand fisting the crumpled sheets underneath you, “It can fit, it’ll fit - just a little more, princess, just a little-” The next thrust forward finally locked him in place, his knot fully surrounded by your tight walls, “Fuck! T-Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
You shook underneath him, nonsensical babbles leaving your mouth as tears of pure pleasure streaked their way down your face, “I-I- C-Come, Channie, come- ‘S big, big-”
“I-I’m gonna,” Chris heaved above you, breath rugged and short, sweat dripping down his temples, “‘m gonna come, baby- I’m gonna- Fuck, fuck, fuck-”
His voice tapered off into a high pitched whine, followed by a groan as his cock throbbed inside of you, flooding your poor cunt with wave after wave of cum.
At some point you must’ve blacked out, because when you came to he was no longer gasping for air, however the ache between your legs was still very present - though, it wasn’t uncommon for him to stay inside of you after a creampie.
“Baby? Princess? Are you okay? What’s your color?”
Smiling dazedly, you hummed happily with a soft sigh, “Green, so green.”
You went to stretch your legs when a short tug stopped you in your tracks, Chris groaning above you with a sharp breath, “Don’t- Don’t move, baby.”
Running back the last few moments of consciousness, you were quickly and graciously reminded of your new predicament - though, said memory caused more harm than good, as your walls fluttered involuntarily at the spicy recollection of events.
“Baby.”
“I’m sorry!” You pouted at him, hanging your hands from his wide shoulders, “I can’t help it, it was hot.”
Chris scoffed out a chuckle, “I’m glad you enjoyed yourself, but we’re gonna be stuck like this for a little bit until my knot goes down, okay?”
Nodding, you gave him a soft tug, smiling as he dropped his weight to lay on top of you before tucking his head in the crook of your neck, littering butterfly kisses to the undoubtedly damp skin there.
“You did such a great job, baby,” he murmured softly, nosing at the underside of your jaw, “I’m so proud of you, and… Thank you for wanting to help me through this - seriously, you didn’t have to and I just… I love you so, so much.”
“I love you too, darling,” you scratched your nails against his scalp gently, a soft hum vibrating through his chest, “just remember that I’m here for you no matter what - when I say I love you, that means all of you.” Accepting his sign of understanding as him raising slightly to catch your lips in a slow kiss, you gave him a tired smile, “Now, let me take a quick nap, because you and I both know there’s more where that came from.”
“Yeah… You’re in for a long night, princess.”

⊱ ────── {⋅. ✯ .⋅} ────── ⊰
your girlfriend chappell sadly died in a tragic accident . on the day of your anniversary, she came back to life. boo. i missed halloween by a long shot, but here's this.
⊱ ────── {⋅. ✯ .⋅} ────── ⊰
It was an evening like no other. The sky began to take on a soft shade of orange as the sun slowly dipped closer to the horizon, bathing the cemetery in a gentle glow. The sky was clear, not a single cloud obscuring the view nor a drop of rain dared to fall. A cool breeze passed by, sending a subtle shiver through the air, carrying the scent of earth and the chill of winter.
You, your breath visible in the cold winter air, made your way to Chappell's grave. Your beloved girlfriend who tragically passed away. The ground was covered in a delicate blanket of dead leaves, and the trees surrounding the graveyard were draped in their bare branches, frozen by the embrace of winter. You stopped by the grave, the only warmth in the dead of winter, the pain in your heart echoing around the quiet space.
As you stood by the grave, you shivered slightly from the cold, your eyes fixed on the engraved name reading Chappell Roan, hands trembling in the biting wind. The cold air carried a sense of sadness that mingled with the silence of the cemetery. You reached into your pocket, pulling out a small bouquet of flowers, red poppies, like the ones your girlfriend used to love.
You laid the bouquet of red poppies over the grave, their vibrant color a stark contrast to the dead leaves and the grey stone of the grave. You gently brushed the leaves away from the surface, your hands growing numb from the cold. It was supposed to be your two year anniversary today, and the weight of the day hung heavily in the air, intensified by the chill of winter, making the visit even more lonesome. You've never felt this alone since Chappell left.
As the silence settled around you, you began to feel the tears pricking at the corners of your eyes. Silent, slow tears trickled down your cold cheeks, a physical manifestation of your deep, aching grief. The wind picked up, carrying away the sounds of the world around you, emphasizing your loneliness in the cold, winter cemetery. Your shoulders trembled but you remained quiet and still by the grave.
''I miss you so much…'' You managed to say while the tears choked you. Slowly bringing your cold and numb hand up, you wiped them away and reminded yourself that grief is normal, but… it seems to you that you'll never truly get over your beloved girlfriend's death.
As you finally broke down, the wind that had picked up earlier picked up more, howling as it rushed past you, swirling leaves following in its cold embrace. You couldn't help but close your eyes, picturing your dead girlfriend by your side, the wind almost feeling like a gentle brush against your shoulder. You felt a strange mix of sadness and comfort as the wind continued around you, like your girlfriend was nearby… right next to you.
Overwhelmed by grief, you sank to your knees, burying your face in your hands as tears freely spilled and soaked your fingers. In your distressed state, you noticed the ground beside the grave began to quiver slightly, a subtle motion that caught your attention. The dirt shook as if something was pushing from below, breaking through, as the sound of shifting earth filled the air.
You gasped in pure shock. Your eyes widening with a mix of fear and confusion, as the grave began shaking more. You scooted back, feeling a wave of unexplainable dread washing over you. Eyes focused on the moving dirt, you began to feel a growing sense of unease creeping up inside of you.
You stared in pure disbelief, watching in horror as your dead girlfriend pushed through the earth of the grave. She emerged from the grave, her body cracking with the motion, hair a tangled mess covered in dirt. Chappell coughed, as if clearing her rotten lungs of dirt, and stood up on her feet, looking creepily alive.
Your breath got stuck in your throat, but you managed to choke out: ''Chappell?…''
As the stuck breath got out and you took another one, the smell of death hit your nose painfully. The stench of decay was sharp, mingling with the scent of fresh earth, creating a chilling and grotesque combination of a dead person. You gagged, but you didn't care about that now. The only thing you cared about was your dead… alive girlfriend.
She sweetly smiled at you and that was enough for you to rush forward and wrap your arms around your resurrected girlfriend. The feeling of the dead, cold flesh against you made you shudder with disgust, yet your strong emotions couldn't help but be overpowered by the sheer happiness of having your girlfriend back.
Chappell was wearing the same outfit she had been wearing on the day she died: an oversized black shirt that you gave her with black jeans and worn-out black converse. The jeans were stained with old, dried blood, and the shirt was disheveled and stained as well, reminding you of the tragic day she passed.
Finally, she spoke. ''I missed you too…'' she coughed, her voice hoarse and rough, almost painful. It grated slightly for not being used in a while, but despite the change, her tone still held the same sweetness that you remember so well. Her words, though rough and coarse, resonated with a familiar gentleness and tenderness, stirring up a rush of nostalgia and emotion.
''I… I don't understand… how? How are you… back?'' You asked, a little afraid of the answer. What if you're just dreaming? What if this isn't real, but just a plot of your imagination? What if this is just a hallucination and you're freezing to death due to hypothermia?
Chappell laughed slightly. ''That doesn't matter now, dear. I wanna go back home.''
A smile formed on your lips automatically, the one that forms when you're in complete disbelief but somehow still happy how are things turning out. You extended your hand out, like you did years before and she took it, her cold hands intertwining with yours, a beautiful contrast between the living and the fallen.
As you walked, you noticed Chappell limped the whole way home, her ankle bone sticking out, tearing through the rotten flesh.
After getting back home, you took a shower together, washing off the dirt, blood and the general feel of death and rot that lingered on you both. Cleaned and finally back home, you snuggled under the warm covers of your bed, the TV playing the classic horror movie "Night of the Living Dead."
Truly, you think to yourself, loving her is like loving the dead.

❣ ( from my dion to your terence- )
Check my muse's pulse || Always Accepting
@tsckcyomi
Terence feels like he's caught up in a whirlwind. Splashes of consciousness tossed against an ever stalwart wall of darkness. Sounds filter in and out, adding to the mixture of confusion in his senses -
Until, in a moment of clarity, he sees Dion knelt above him.
"D- Dion?" He rasps, fingers instinctively twitching at his side as if to reach for the love of his life. To protect. To comfort. To love.
And he feels Dion's fingers on his wrist within moments. So long as Dion is there with him, Terence can will his pulse to keep beating beneath those gentle fingertips for the time being.
Sluggishly, he drags his gaze up to look at Dion's face, his beautiful, undeniably handsome, precious face. There's a fear in his eyes that makes Terence's chest hurt. Dion has always been incredibly talented at keeping emotion out of his eyes - and to see that fear is devastating when Terence can do nothing to soothe him.
And Greagor, those eyes.
"Have I - have I ever told you..." he pauses to take a difficult breath, lips curling into some semblance of a smile. "How beautiful you are?"

"𝙄 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙠 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙚𝙩 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨. 𝙈𝙖𝙮𝙗𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙮 𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪"
You stood in a corner of the crowded living room where a crowd of people danced to their hearts content while drunk, you didn't know 99% of the people that was attending the house party that Hanbin decided to throw. Your stomach churned in discomfort and you were beginning to get a migraine from the loud music and obnoxious flashing lights
If you were being honest, you only came here due to the fact Ricky convinced you too and maybe your friends. You weren't much of a party person, you were the type to stay inside and study for your upcoming assignments and exams, get drunk off of store bought juice and then sob your eyes out to some sad K-Drama you had yet to finish. That was the type of person you were.
But now here you were, in a giant house just off campus owned by one of Hanbin's friends. You weren't originally meant to be here, after all, you had an assignment fur tomorrow. When Rei and Yunah had asked, you shrugged them off and said no, and then when Hanbin and Taerae tried begging you, you once again said no. They weren't mad at you for saying no, cause they knew you weren't a party person.
But when Ricky asked you, you couldn't help but say yes. There was a way the words left his mouth so eloquently that convinced you to say yes, he had the voice of a siren, it was so powerful that it had the ability to pull you in. You trusted him more than anything, oh how foolish you were for that.
"𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝, 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙝, 𝙄 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪"
Your relationship with Ricky was complicated, well, you couldn't really call it a relationship. You two would just say you were friends, but then when you were alone you'd have your hands all over each other, deep in the moment with your lips entangled together. Your friends were obvious to it, mainly cause you were able to hide it so well and you and Ricky were just naturally close since the start of the new semester. So nobody really batted an eye or questioned it.
But lately, you've been feeling odd around Ricky. You'd get more clingy, wanting him to have constant skinship with you. You'd get jealous when he spent too much time with other girls, fearing that someone prettier would someday swoop in and steal him from you. No, you didn't want that at all.
While everyone else could see through your gaze alone that you were madly in love with him, you instead chose to gaslight yourself into believing it was normal to feel this way, especially considering the relationship you two had. You always shrugged it off in the end, cause after all, you and Ricky would always come back to the other every night and let yourself drown away in the other's presence.
Rei had always joked around that you and Ricky had a secret relationship, and you were scared she'd find out, cause Rei was one of the smartest in your friend circle and you were surprised Hanbin hadn't caught on yet either. But Yunah and Taerae were none the wiser, the two were always jokingly referred to as the "dumb ones" of your circle. They just accepted it, choosing not to care over it much.
You watched from afar as Rei and Yunah danced happily, smiles on their faces as the two conversed with one another. You were surprised they could even hear each other, cause you could barely hear your own thoughts thanks to this music.
Sighing to yourself, you looked around to see if you could catch a glimpse of Ricky within the crowded room. You had last seen him with Hanbin and Taerae, but when your eyes found Taerae and Hanbin's figures in the room, you noticed Ricky wasn't with them.
"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜? 𝙇𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙟𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨, 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙝"
With a confused look on your face, your eyes continued trying to pick his figure out from amongst the crowd. When you finally managed to find him amongst the crowd of drunken students dancing together, their bodies meshed and mingling with the others around them, you noticed he wasn't alone.
Ricky stood in the opposite corner of the room from where you stood, a girl with her back leaning against the corner of the wall with Ricky's arm placed just above her head as he leaned close to her. The two were laughing together, red solo cups in their hands filled with the nauseous alcohol concoction in it, you could hardly stomach it when you tried it.
Seeing the two together like that made your heart stop, the girl was pretty and she seemed to make him laugh. Much more than you could that's for sure. You felt your stomach begin to tighten into a knot, feeling the remnants of what you had eaten earlier in the day and the little bit of that monstrous alcoholic concoction everyone at the party was downing, slowly creep up your throat.
You didn't understand why you were like this, it's not like you two were actually in a committed relationship. You two were just having harmless fun, no strings attached, just two friends who casually made out. Two friends who gave each other gifts, held hands, whisper sweet words into the other's ear. That's right, cause that's what friends do. Right?
"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 '𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪' 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 19𝙩𝙝 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙧"
You shook your head, slapping your cheek a little. "Stop it Y/N, it's nothing. You knew this would happen eventually" You gave yourself a miniature pep talk, although you couldn't even hear your own voice over the loud music.
Just as you were about to leave the room, the music paused, causing you to look back into the crowded room. Groans from drunken partygoers filled the now quiet room, Hanbin stood by the speaker, having turned it off. Everyone's eyes focused on the boy as he raised the red cup in his hand. "Who wants to play a game?" He asked, a sweet tone to his voice, but the pink blush on his cheeks were a dead giveaway that he was drunk.
You looked around more as you saw partygoers leave the room, not being in playing a game, all they were here for was the alcohol, the music and the potential to get laid and then never speak to each other again. A night that wasn't meant to be remembered or spoken of once it was over, that's what this party was hosted for.
Once more of the people had piled out the room, that left you, Ricky, Rei, Yunah, Taerae, Hanbin, the girl Ricky was flirting with and some other random guy. In the midst of the stampede that left the room, you had completely forgotten to follow them out. Meaning you had unfortunately been pulled into this game that Hanbin so desperately wanted to play.
"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚'𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙤𝙝, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙜𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙚𝙩. 𝙄'𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩."
Sat in a circle on the floor, an empty beer bottle placed in the middle on it's side, you were now about to play a game of 'Spin the bottle'. This sucked badly for you, cause practically everyone sat in the circle except for you and Ricky were drunk or slightly tipsy.
Curious and anxious eyes were passed amongst the circle, but when your eyes met Ricky's, you felt your heart twitch a little. You couldn't read his eyes like you used to be able too, they looked like they belonged to a stranger as a small smirk played on his lips. You quickly looked away from. him, shuffling a bit uncomfortably.
Hanbin looked around one more time before he giggled to himself. "Okay, i guess i'll go first" He said through slurred words, leaning forward, Hanbin placed his hand on the bottle and spun it. Everyone in the circle watched with curiosity as the bottle spun at a fast pace. Eventually, it'd stop on Rei, the girl groaning. "Pucker up, i guess" She replied with her own slurred words as her and Hanbin shared a quick kiss, pulling away like it didn't happen.
Everyone in the circle made little "ooh's", everyone except you. You anxiously waited, hoping time would go by in the blink of an eye and this game would be over. You'd return to your dorm with Ricky, you'd be alone with him and everything would go back to normal. But would it really be that easy?
Next up was Taerae, who sat right next to Hanbin. He'd spin the bottle, although it was a bit sluggish due to him being tipsy, despite the slow speed the bottle spun at it'd eventually stop on the girl that Ricky sat beside instead of sitting beside you. Taerae looked at Ricky, the two sharing eye contact, before Taerae and the girl leaned in, shared a quick peck and it was over. With the girl being next in line to spin the bottle.
You watched anxiously as the bottle spun, hoping and praying it would land on anyone but Ricky. Hell, you'd gladly kiss her if it meant she didn't get to kiss him. But as if fate was against you tonight the bottle landed on Ricky and your worst fears would come true. You'd watch Ricky with slightly teary eyes as he looked at you, that same small smirk on his lips as him and the girl kissed.
The kiss felt like it went on for an eternity and you were the only one that didn't like it, you felt like you wanted to throw up. Why were you feeling like this? You weren't even in love with him, remember?
"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 '𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪' 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜."
The kiss had ended between the two, but you could see the sparks between them. You could practically feel the sparks from where you sat, opposite to them in the circle, and it stung. Badly.
Eventually, it had reached your turn, Yunah and Rei would have shared two kisses with each other, cause when Yunah spun the bottle it had landed on Rei. And when Rei was next to go after her, the bottle landed on Yunah and everyone but you let out squeals as the two shared another kiss.
But now, it was your turn. You looked around anxiously, everyone's eyes were on you. You eyes locked with Ricky's again and you once again couldn't read what he was thinking or feeling. He felt like a complete stranger right now and it hurt. But there was something else about you that was rare to ever make an appearance. And it was that you were petty.
If Ricky wanted to taunt you, lead you on, make you jealous or even make you cry if that was even his intentions at all. So be it, you'll play his game, even if it meant breaking your heart the more it went on.
Placing your hand on the bottle, you spun the bottle as you stared right into each other's eyes. Everyone else watched the bottle in anticipation, but you and Ricky kept staring at each other. Eventually, the bottle would stop, right on Hanbin.
Hanbin blushed and suddenly became shy, meanwhile, you saw a change in Ricky's expression. He didn't like this one bit and you could tell, for the first time tonight you could finally read his expression. "What's wrong Ricky, you look jealous. It's not like we're together" you taunted him, it was dangerous, but you couldn't stop yourself in time from the words leaving your mouth.
Regret bubbled up in your stomach as gasps went around the circle, but you were too far in now, no backing out. Crawling over to Hanbin, your faces inches apart, you two shared a kiss. And you made sure to keep it going, to mirror how long Ricky and that girl's kiss was. You had to really hammer it in.
"𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙚𝙨𝙣'𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙩, 𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙄 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙖 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙨 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣"
The kiss had ended and you returned to your spot, Hanbin seemed to be proud of himself and happy with how long the kiss lasted for. You had enough however, feeling the thoughts process on your brain and feeling that all too familiar sick feeling fill your stomach to the brim.
"I'm sorry, i'll be right back" You say, standing up and leaving the room with all eyes on you. You made it seem like you were going to the bathroom, when actually you were heading straight for the front door. You wanted to go back to your dorm, drown yourself away in ice cream and a K-Drama, cry yourself to sleep and just forget tonight ever happened.
But that wouldn't be so easy, no not for you. How could you forget tonight? How could you forget all the pain you felt? The image of those two kissing engraved in your mind, playing on repeat. It was your own personal hell and you couldn't escape it. Now, you were finally accepting that maybe you really did love Ricky and wanted much more with him.
You knew that couldn't happen, cause unfortunately for you, Ricky only saw you two as friends. Just two people having harmless fun, no strings attached and you could forget it ever happened once you two found other people to fulfill your needs. You wished you could just be selfish for one moment, gatekeep him from the rest of the world and keep him for yourself. But you knew it didn't work like that.
"𝙊𝙝, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙚, 𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙄'𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙤𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪. 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚 𝙖𝙢 𝙄 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙤, 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙝? 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙄'𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙄'𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪."
You had known for a long time that Ricky was only keeping this going between you two cause he wanted some fun with no strings attached, and at first, you did too. But somewhere along the way, you had gained deeper feelings for him and it scared you. How would he react knowing you wanted it to be known to the others and to officially be his. Maybe he already knew and that was why he was all over that girl whose name you didn't even bother to remember at this ridiculous party.
You told yourself to swallow your feelings, keep them under wraps. After all, Ricky never had to know, just keep it down long enough to get over him. But that didn't work, at first you were okay with it, cause you knew that eventually you'd both find someone else who invoked greater feelings from you. And now that Ricky was finding that with someone else, you realized that you weren't okay with it. You'd never be okay with it.
As you neared the front door, closer to your freedom from this house that felt like a prison, ready to leave and forget everything that happened tonight, a voice stopped you in your tracks with your hand rested on the door knob. "Why are you leaving?" It was Ricky, and god why did his voice have to have such an effect on you?
Turning around to face him, you let him see the tears that stained your face, were you finally ready to let him see everything? Your feelings for him and how hurt you were from all this? You didn't even know, but he was going to find out eventually and he had to know eventually. And now he was going too.
"𝘽𝙪𝙩, 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙞𝙙 '𝙨𝙤𝙧𝙧𝙮' 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜? 𝙇𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙟𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙨, 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙝"
"Have you been crying?" He asked, and you just had scoff. Now he was acting concerned? Cause he had all night for that, but never once cared for you.
"Why do you care?" You bit back, you have no clue where this confidence was coming from especially since you were on the verge of crying again. But something in you just wanted him to tell you it was over, so that you could take the heartbreak and move on. That's all you wanted, was it that hard for him to do so?
"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 '𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪' 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 19𝙩𝙝 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙧'
"Because, i care for you" He replied back, ignoring the way your tone carried malice. Some part of you wanted him to say 'i love you' instead of 'i care for you'. But a part of you also didn't, cause you knew that staying would just mean hurting more.
Your eyes trailed to a group of people peaking their heads around the corner, it was your friends. Well, guess this was their time to finally know everything you and Ricky had been doing without their knowledge.
"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚'𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙤𝙝, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙜𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙚𝙩. 𝙄'𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩. 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 '𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪' 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜"
"You care for me? Really? What a fucking joke" You laughed, and a new wave of fresh tears spilled from your eyes. "If you cared for me you wouldn't have put me through this torture, Ricky. You would've told me you loved me and that you wanted more with me, but instead you were all over someone else."
"If you actually cared like you say you did, you wouldn't have put me through all this heartbreak. You wouldn't have put me through such a slow amount of torture tonight. But no, you did. So, do you really care or do you just see me as some fucking toy?" You spat at him, your words like poison and it caused him to flinch a bit. But you didn't care, not now at least.
"𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙡𝙙 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙩. 𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙪𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩, 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙞𝙩."
It was a long pause, no one said anything. Your friends just watched in concern, despite being drunk and not completely getting the situation, they could feel the tension in the air. Meanwhile, you glared at Ricky and Ricky just stared back at you not knowing what to say.
"Heard the truth and now you can't say anything? Typical, go fuck yourself Shen Quanrui" You said to him, slight gasps could be heard from the onlookers behind him and you looked towards them. "Enjoy the show? It's over now"
And with those words spoken, you turned around and opened the door, something in your brain was telling you to stay, except you wanted out of there. As fast as possible.
"𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚'𝙧𝙚 𝙨𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙤𝙝, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙤𝙤𝙢 𝙜𝙤𝙚𝙨 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙚𝙩. 𝙄'𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙤𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙡𝙚𝙛𝙩. 𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 '𝙄 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪' 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙞𝙩'𝙨 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜"
"Y/N wait!" He called out for you, his hand placing itself on your shoulder just as you went to take a step outside. You froze and it took everything in your willpower not to turn around and melt into his touch.
You couldn't look at him, cause you knew if you did you'd let yourself forget everything and just let it happen all over again. But not this time, this time you just wanted it to be over.
"I love you" He finally said, after a long pause. You felt the final dagger pierce your heart and you laughed, shaking your head before using your hand to roughly push his hand from your shoulder. "I loved you once too, but that time's over now" and with that, you left the house and began walking back to your dorm.
You were ready to leave that night behind, you might not forget it, you were sure none of you would now. But at least you felt free, free from someone you once wanted to give your heart too. But, now you'll move on and you'll get to find someone who really wanted you, someone who'd tell you they loved you every day instead of just on the 𝟏𝟗𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐫.

This is why I love TS. She be making these relatable songs and my favorites too! Mind if I add some? I hc that Trystan is a BIG swiftie lol.
(in honour of SN TV)
Long Live - the whole song. Like, "And bring on all the pretenders, I'm not afraid" I bet this is on Trystan's "Taylor Swift songs to bang in Det. Rose's office" playlist.
Sparks Fly- "'Cause I see sparks fly, whenever you smile" in love Trystan Thorne to MC "Drop everything now" like??????? yes, Trystan's dramatic and we love it. This could work the other way around too, i mean, Trys have this sunshine smile.
I Can See You- I've said this a million times but THIS IS THEIR SONF. "And we kept everything professional, but something's changed, it's somethin' I, I like" ?????!!!!!?!?!?!?!???? now, listen, I don't know if I'm just that in love with my mc... but imagine this, Trystan to MC "I can see you in your suit and your necktie, passed me a note saying, "Meet me tonight" Then we kissed and you know I won't ever tell, yeah" AH-- okay, i love this bridge, hold awn "And I could see you being my addiction, you can see me as a secret mission" DAMN.
Castles Crumbling- "They used to cheer when they saw my face. Now, I fear I have fallen from grace" ????? tell me that's not so Trystan Thorne. "I held that grudge 'til it tore me apart" ????!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! "People look at me like I'm a monster. Now they're screamin' at the palace's front gates, used to chant my name" hits HARD.
(Yes i did skipped Red and 1989 bcs for me, those are Trystan's everyday songs. We love a dramatic king/queen)
(Reputation... Shall we?)
...Ready for it?- "And he can be my jailer, Burton to this Taylor" This one's for your Taylor lol❣
Don't Blame Me- religiously relatable for these two idiots. Just...Just listen, you'll get me. "Don't blame me, love made me crazy If it doesn't, you ain't doin' it right Lord, save me, my drug is my baby, I'll be usin' for the rest of my life" You decide.
KING OF MY HEART, yes, you got it.
So It Goes...- And all the pieces fall right into place. Getting caught up in a moment, lipstick on your face..So it goes"-- Book 1, chapter 13. "I'm yours to keep and I'm yours to lose" *screams*
(there's a LOT more, ik but let's get to Lover)
Lover- ofc, I mentioned Trystan being dramatic and we love it, we do. "My heart's been borrowed and yours has been blue. All's well that ends well to end up with you Swear to be overdramatic and true to my lover" ???????
Cornelia Street- Now, where is Cornelia Street again? right, New York. "I hope I never lose you, hope it never ends, I'd never walk Cornelia Street again".
Miss Americana And The Heartbreak Prince- read the title again, please. This is Trystan's SONG. Another one for "Taylor Swift songs to bang in Det. Rose's office" playlist. "It's you and me, there's nothing like this, Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince. We're so sad, we paint the town blue. Voted most likely to run away with you"
(There's still folklore, evermore ofc but lemme dig into those)
Tumblr media
Trystan x MC🤝🏼Taylor Swift
Taylor swift Songs and lyrics that are Trystan and mc coded (my mc’s name is Taylor)
To all the girls you loved before- Specially the lines “your past and mine are Parallel lines, stars all aligned and they intertwined” I don’t think I have to explain this one lol.
Begin again- I know we don’t really know if mc had a relationship with anyone before Trystan came in the picture but the lines “ I think it’s strange that you think I’m funny because he never did” meeting Trystan was her new beginning she can be herself around him and she likes that he likes her for her.
Daylight- this is more about Trystan feels about mc “ my love was as cruel as the cities I’ve lived in, everyone looked worse in the light, there are so many lines I’ve crossed unforgiven, I’ll tell you the truth but never goodbye” 🥺
I think he knows 🤭😏 “ I think he knows when we get all alone I’ll make myself at home and he’ll want me to stay” or “ he’s so obsessed with me and boy I understand” because mc is cocky she knows she’s got it going on.
King of my heart- I don’t think I have to explain this one lol. “ I’m perfectly fine I live on my own I made up my mind I’m better off being alone, we met two weeks ago now you try on calling me “baby” like trying on clothes, salute to me I’m your American queen and you move to me like I’m a Motown beat and we rule the kingdom inside my room” technically we’re in Trystans room but you get the point
Call it what you want- I feel like this could be about how they are with each other “ my baby’s fly like a jet stream high above the scene loves me like I’m brand new”
Snow on the beach- “ we’re falling like snow on the beach weird but fucking beautiful”
Labyrinth- this is how mc felt when she realized she was falling for Trystan “ uh oh, I’m falling in love again, oh no I’m falling in love, I thought the plan was going down how’d you turn it right around. 🥰

The splash was deafening to your ears, the more you sank the more muffled and distant the cheers above the surface sounded. Your body strangled for air by pure habit, only for that to turn secondary to a strong sting coming from below your jaw.
Mistaking it for choking, you reached up, your hands grasping to relieve you from the pain. But when your fingers passed through, they realized something strange was growing out of your skin, or along it. Gills. Breathing wasn’t as hard anymore, it just felt natural.
With your vision clearing up from bubbles, met with nothing but hazed and dark waters and the deep rumble of the lake surrounding you, you looked down to your hands, webbing growing from between your fingers as if they were fins.
The water was cold, but tolerable, definitely far warmer from what you expected of the newly thawed, late february waters.
Something bolted right in front of you in a trail of bubbles, pushing you back and spinning you around. Struggling to find and get a grip of your wand you barely could get it out before the bolt of energy revealed itself to be Monday, testing her new aquatic form.
Fast as a looming shark, she extended her hands, eyes wide in excitement. Just before slamming against you in a tight hug and spinning you around. Definitely, not something you would’ve expected from her.
Just then, Zoa also closed in swimming, looking like a fantasy mermaid herself. With all three finally reunited you looked for any sign of where to start searching. And with the silence of the bottom of the lake, a melody could faintly be perceived. One only problem was that the water made it sound like it was coming from… everywhere.
It was only a swift flash, but you were sure you had seen something looking your way far into the seaweed forest, only to scrabble away when you made eye contact.
“Let’s go.” You signed them to follow you. You had absolutely no idea of what it was, but one lead was better than no lead.
All seemed fine until you reached the edge of the kelp forest. Their tall, slowly waving stems loomed over you, tall enough to drown almost all the light coming from the surface, as if it wasn’t scarce enough. But the melody that traveled through the lake was getting louder to your ears, meaning that this dark and gloomy passage could be the only way through.
Monday was quick to get her wand out, casting Lumos. The light didn’t seem as bright as it was on the surface, but it was enough so at least you could see ahead of you. Soon, you and Zoa followed her in an attempt to have the most available light possible. And with a shared glance, full of worry and even some fear, you agreed to go on.
You lead the way, trying to catch another glimpse, another clue of something that could tell this was the right way. Instead there was nothing. Nothing but seaweed to your right, your left, behind and in front of you.
Swimming and hoping for the best, it was normal to feel watched around Hogwarts and its premises, so you brushed off the awry sensation building up in your gut. What you didn’t realize was that a mob of little creatures kept their eyes all over you and the other two champions, building up in numbers as the time went by.
One launched up against Zoa, pushing her away and into the dense seaweed. You and Monday snapped around, searching for her, when something hit you in the face and sent you back.
It felt like a little but painful bite, but when you turned to whatever had attacked you, you only found yourself completely alone.
Panic filled every single one of your veins, the light in your wand flickering alongside your trembling hand.
The seaweed to your right started shuffling and only then is when you caught a glimpse of the creature, or better said, creatures attacking you.
Grindylows.
You had read about them when you decided to educate yourself a bit more on the task but had never seen one with your own eyes. Well, most students hadn’t either because it’s not like it was extremely common to dive into the Great Lake and they were not the kind of creature one would like to see in Care of Magical Creatures.
And now you finally understand why.
It wasn’t long until another pushed you back, and then another. But far into the deep seaweed forest you managed to catch a glimpse of flickering light being shoved around.
And you weren’t sure about it for a second, to go towards or against it. But the time was running out as the more you stood still the more Grindylows that surrounded you and blocked your view.
Follow it.
Someone whispered to your ear. In a voice way too familiar for you but not exactly one you could make out with the dozens of water demons pulling you around.
Follow the light.
You pushed your thought from those pesky creatures trying to reach it, them trying hard and pulling you from your clothes as you fought them with great strength, but it wasn’t enough against all of them.
Follow me.
“Flipendo!” You casted, a spark launching back the Grindylows.
With them stunned enough, you bolted out of there as quickly as you could. Losing yourself even further in the seaweed forest as you followed the shimmer, the little demons kept scratching you as you swerved through them.
One of them crashed against your face, making you pull away and lose all sense of direction. But once you finally managed to free yourself from it, the light was completely gone.
You scanned around now in almost complete darkness. Your wand had turned off, leaving you stranded alone in the deep murky water, algae tangling up around you while the critters caught up with you.
Something reached up, clawing your ankle and pulling you from below. You fought it but it was holding onto you terribly strong. Way too strong to be another Grindylow.
You looked down and amongst all the swirling creatures nagging you realized it was a human hand holding on for dear life. And even further down, you recognized Zoa amongst maybe hundreds of Grindylows sinking her further.
But the instant you reached down for her, the little demons engulfed you as well. Their high screeching pierced your ears  right as they passed beside and the pain of their bites and scratches proved to be way too much for your own strength.
With barely a hold of your wand, you flicked it before it was too late for any of you.
“Expulso!” A blue wave of light launched away all the pesky creatures, knocking them unconscious.
The power of the explosion left both you and Zoa startled at its might, but it also yanked your wand out of your hand, slowly sinking below you as you tried to reach it in vain.
Zoa bolted away, pulling you with her with whatever strength left and following wherever you saw a bit more illuminated. It wasn’t long until finally you could see the end of the seaweed forest.
You both pushed your way past the last stretch of the way as she lit the way with her wand and you pushed away the few Grindylows that dared attack you, if they didn’t scatter away still afraid of the last explosion.
But almost as you reached the end of the forest and into clearer, if still goomy water, something crashed against Zoa and you at full speed sending you all flying into different directions.
You shook your head, trying to stabilize yourself and recognize the south from the north when Monday appeared right in front of you, shaking your shoulders and rushing to check up on you.
“There you are!” Her voice sounded wobbly, muffled by the water but still understandable. “What was that?!”
“Grindylows.” You panted, bubbles coming out of your mouth as you rubbed your head in pain. “Lots of them.”
“I was trying to find you and I saw a huge explosion-!” She spat out, checking up on Zoa. “I thought you were goners.”
“That was Y/n, they saved us.” Zoa nodded, glancing at me. “I wouldn’t have come out of there on my own.”
It was a minute while you caught your breath… or whatever was possible to do under water until your heart decreased its frantic rhythm.
“We need to carry on.” You sighed, glancing at the other two girls. “How much time do we have left?”
“Not much.” Just as those words came out of Monday’s mouth, a loud bell shook the waters around you, one that so far had sounded twice or maybe more times. “We need to go, now!”
You all agreed to stay far away from the kelp mass for the rest of the reminding time, circling around it in hopes of finding any trace of where you needed to be. Even by swimming higher up, the water was so dim and gloomy that you could barely see farther than what you could already down below. And not having your wand with you was even worse, as you had to stay really close to any of the other girls to be able to see anything at all.
The bell rang two or three more times while you searched with no real lead, only the incessant melody that you had listened to from the golden egg surrounding you from everywhere. It felt like you were only swimming in circles, each lap making you all the more anxious as time ticked away from your hands.
Another bell made you all jump startled, but you weren’t the only thing startled in there. Far below, something sneaked through the rocks and away. It had a humanoid form of their own, but a fin instead of legs. A mermaid.
All three of you had the same idea as soon as you glanced at each other, following them closely behind. But not that close that they could sense you pursuing them and try to run away.
It wasn’t long until there was a faint greenish-golden glow in the distance, opening up to a full village of merpeople side-eyeing you as you swam across their streets. And while the whole sight of an entire civilization right below the surface of the Great Lake was something that your mind was barely processing, it wasn’t until Monday and Zoa broke their speed suddenly, freezing at the sight in front of them.
“They could’ve just told us they were going to have front row seats for the task...” Monday gasped.
Three bloated and sleeping bodies floated as if they were kites or balloons tied from a rope from the bottom of the lake’s floor. One for each champion. For Zoa, her sister Soojin. For Monday, her best friend Jiyoon, and for you…
“Jihan!” You bolted straight to them without hesitation.
“I feel like we’ve seen her before.” Monday leaned to Zoa, both still too shocked to move. “Who’s her?”
“It’s the girl from the Yule Ball.” Zoa answered. “Y/n’s date.”
“Ah crap-” Realization fell on to Monday’s shoulders as soon as the points clicked in her mind. “That means…”
Only then their minds cleared enough to catch up with you and beside the bodies of their loved ones.
Jihan seemed to be in a deep sleep, with bubbles sometimes blowing out of her faintly parted lips indicating she was still breathing.
Zoa was quick to undo the knot tying Soojin down from her feet, nodding to both of you as she swam towards the surface. She was bound to be first place unless one of you managed to untie their person and race her towards the surface.
But it’s not like the place was the thing that mattered much to you, both of you completely focused on how to liberate your person before the time ran out.
For you and Monday, the story was completely different. The knot at Jiyoon and Jihan’s feet was way too strong and complicated to even try and undo it, and trying your luck with the one tied to a giant rock at the bottom wasn’t any more efficient.
Monday remembered that she was a wizard in that precise moment, taking out her wand and breaking the rope that held Jiyoon down. You were the only one left but with no wand and a rope impossible to break with just your hands.
“It’s stuck!” You cried out loud, hoping to catch the other girl's attention.
“Let me!” Monday pointed her wand towards Jihan’s rope. “Flip-”
“Only one!” A mermaid pushed her back with a trident, with more surrounding her just to make sure she didn’t try anything else.
“Back off! I’m just trying to-!” Monday tried to fight them off but instead she only managed to anger them more, as they pushed her to the surface and away from you. “AH!”
It’s like you can’t breathe well anymore, but you’re not sure if it’s the anxiety or it’s that…
Your hand bolts up to your neck, the gills peeking out of it less prominent than before. And the skin uniting your fingers as long fins is slowly sinking back into normal fingers, the hair all over your body standing up to the increasing cold of the water around.
Your time below the water is being counted on by mere seconds now, and that’s how much time you have to break Jihan out of there and pull you both back to the safety of the surface.
Holding on to probably your last underwater breath, you dive deeper and try to turn around the rock that is keeping the rope down, but the sheer strength needed to turn it is way more of the one that you have in you this very moment.
It’s like everything around you is getting darker and murkier, your lungs stinging as your hands confirm that the gills on your neck have completely disappeared already.
Jihan didn’t want any of this, and after what you did to her… It’s the least you could do for her. So you convince yourself she’s getting out, even if you’re not.
With the one last bit of might left in you, you push the rock enough so it turns on your shoulder, completely liberating the rope. But the gasp that came with it made your mouth and nose fill up with water. The one last image that your eyes could make out was Jihan’s body floating up and away from you and you sank further.
And then nothing but the glaring silence of the deep lake and water being moved all around you. If you only had survived this one task, you think she would’ve forgiven you eventually? Guess you wouldn’t know now…
There was a light far away, one everyone told you that you see when you’re leaving this plane of existence. But there was someone falling down from it. Not falling, but floating with their hand reaching out for you.
“Hold on!” Monday’s voice boomed in your ear as you felt her surrounding your waist, “Ascendio!”
A freezing and violent rush of water surrounded you, snapping you up only to realize Monday had you and Jihan with a tight hold, bolting up to the surface to an incredible speed.
The bell rang stronger than it ever had before, with bolts of loud cheering erupting in the air as the impulse dragged you up and slammed you against the metal surface of the towers.
Breathable air punched your face as soon as you were out, making you cough your lungs out and every drip of water that dared still be inside you. And beside you, your fellow champion was trying to catch her breath too. Only offering you a soft smile and a nod, pointing behind you.
Jihan snapped her head around completely disorientated, as if she didn’t even know why she was all wet and how she ended up in the middle of the Black Lake.
“There they are!” Soeun’s distant scream made you turn around.
The towers were overwhelmed with students from all schools endlessly cheering as you approached and rejoicing as Jihan, Monday and you were helped up, welcomed as celebrated heroes.
“Jihan-” You tried to reach for her, and your eyes met for a single second before they rushed her away and into a boat in which Soojin and Jiyoon were already waiting, surrounded by people offering them towels and checking up their temperature.
“The second task has officially concluded!” Dumbledore’s voice boomed all around as you tried to find your way around. “In first place, awarding extra point for helping out not only one, but two treasures out of the water-”
“Hey!” The simple call being drowned amongst the exploding cheers of the champion’s school, but a hand reached for your shoulder to turn you around. You encountered Monday face to face, as she breathed heavily. “Hey Y/n! Why… Why didn’t you tell us?”
“In second place, for helping even her fellow champion-” Dumbledore’s voice faded into the background of your conversation
“Tell you what?” You shook your head, making yourself lightheaded.
“About that girl-” The crowd exploded once again, cutting Monday off as people chanted her name in waves. She only waved to the public in a performative smile until they calmed down before turning to you once again. “She was your date at the Yule Ball, wasn’t she? We thought you didn’t care about her and-”
“And in third place, but not in vain-” The headmaster kept their speech going.
“It’s fine Monday, I-” More loud cheering interrupted you now, but this time cheering your name above anyone else’s. You offered a weak wave to the people around, lowering your sight quickly. “I used to… She was my best friend before all that. I’m not sure she would let me call her that anymore.”
You didn’t even wait a second for Monday to talk back to you, but you did hear her call your name as you lost yourself between the crowds of people in which you walked into.
There was nothing you wanted more than to get away from this, away from anyone that had to do with any of this as soon as possible. And holding on to your towel as you moved away, you glanced back over your shoulder only to catch a glimpse of Monday being congratulated by her schoolmates and raised above their shoulders, Zoa being politely praised by her Headmaster but surrounded by other people who clearly admired her, liked her.
And you watched from far away, with a whole school also chanting your name but no one really that you cared about.
“Excuse me?” The sudden deep voice made you jump in surprise, only to find Dumbledore himself standing right beside you. “I believe you might have lost this.”
And out of his tunic, Dumbledore pulled out your one and only wand. The one you thought had left in the bottom of that damned frigid lake.
“Thank you so much sir.” You muttered, swallowing up every question as to how he got it back or how did he even know you had lost it. But it was Dumbledore you were talking about, sometimes you just accepted without questioning.
“You see Y/n…” He crossed his hands, looking back at the crowds now upon you, barely noticing both your presence there. “True friendship is a gift rarer than some of the most precious and magical artifacts you could imagine. It’s strong enough that a few wrong words won’t bulge it down, but wasted time may.”
In the distance, Soeun and Jaehee chatted in between themselves, stealing glances your way once in a while. They didn’t seem to match the celebratory atmosphere that surrounded them, making them stand out to you.
“Let this be a gentle reminder…” Dumbledore sighed, gently putting his hand over your shoulder. “Time will only drown us if we spend it away from what our heart most desires.”
Later
“...Besides, it was us that talked to her like that!” Monday shrugged, wrinkling her nose. “Now that I think about it, maybe we should go and apologize to her too.”
“But I was the one that allowed you to do that.” You groaned, leaning against the bed frame with your arms crossed over your chest. “And I didn’t do anything to prevent it.”
“You’re being way too pessimistic Y/n!” She shrugged, shaking your shoulders. “Like fine, you- we made her feel horrible at the Yule Ball but on the other side, you did save her from drowning in the Black Lake. I don’t see why she would still be mad at you!”
“Yeah well,” You freed yourself from her wrasp, sighing. “She wouldn’t have ended in the Black Lake if it wasn’t for me to start with.”
“They took treasures away from us.” Zoa interrupted. “You can’t overlook that.”
“What do you mean?”
“The only reason she ended in the Black Lake is because you consider her a treasure.” She explained, her serious eyes piercing through mine. “Even after everything that happened and all the time that has passed, she still holds that place in your heart.”
“And we get it, you may be confused.” Monday doubled down, her hand now sofly holding on to your arm. “But I bet that being taken away and then suddenly waking up soaked in the middle of the Black Lake right in front of someone you don’t even talk to anymore has to be almost equally as confusing.”
They had a point, but in your mind you were positively sure that no matter what you did there was no way she would forgive you from what happened on the Yule Ball. Even less now. Her words kept repeating in your mind over and over.
“You wanted to give them a show, I just don’t want to be a part of it. Not like this.”
And even in her efforts to keep herself away from everything, you still found a way to drag her into this disaster. In a way that could’ve almost killed her. It’s like it became a curse for her how much you still cared for her.
And maybe she had no idea before, but now… basically all of Hogwarts knew how much you did. All of Hogwarts, except her.
“Children, thank you for your patience,” Madam Pomfrey’s voice approached you all from behind one of the Hospital Wing’s curtains. “They’ve all woken up and are completely stable and in good health. They’ll stay here tonight to keep them in observation but if no issue arises, they’ll be free to leave tomorrow morning.”
“That’s great news!” Monday cheered, strongly patting both your and Zoa’s back.
“Indeed. Congratulations champions.” A faint smile appeared on Madam Pomfrey’s face. “As you are free of any major injury, before you leave you're free to pay them a visit but I want them to have a good rest tonight so don’t take long.”
You all bowed in understanding. Your deep sigh being interrupted by both Zoa and Monday pushing you up against your own body’s will. The place was colder than you remember with very little sun coming through the windows, you shivered walking alongside the other two champions.
Behind the first curtain divider Soojin extended her arms at the sight of Zoa, who didn’t hesitate one second to slam against them.
“Oh my!” Zoa gasped, a tint of relief distinguishable in her words. “You’re so cold!”
“It will pass.” Soojin grabbed onto a blanket that slightly slid off her shoulder with the hug and fixed it. “But I overheard that you were first place?”
“Yes!” Zoa bounced from happiness as she snuggled beside her sister. “Only by a minute but we got first place!”
“That’s my little Bambi” The older woman tightened her embrace, earning a chuckle out of the younger.
A sudden shriek made you turn around to the other side of the room, where Monday was already checking up on Jiyoon.
“But you’re freezing!” The taller woman gulped.
“Yeah, I can’t begin to wonder why!” Jiyoon, even if down on a hospital bed, wouldn't lose her witty humor. “I didn’t sign for this!”
“Ah, I should’ve left you down there if I knew you were going to be so insufferable.” The other rolled her eyes, raising an eyebrow as she cleaned her nails.
“AH!” Jiyoon gasped, playfully offended. “You wouldn’t!”
“Of course not.” Monday nudged her arm, immediately launching herself on to a tight hug.
And between those two conversations, you were left standing in the middle of the aisle alone. A deep sigh and your fidgeting hands guided you as you kept walking forward, only carefully peeking behind the curtains until you found…
Jihan.
She seemed too absorbed in the newspaper she was holding to notice your head just stealing a glance from her before gasping and taking a step back.
You tried calming down but your racing heart and sweaty palms were having absolutely none of it. But after some deep breaths you got your heartbeat as calm as it possibly could and stepped into the cubicle with confidence.
As soon as you did, Jihan looked up from the newspaper, erasing any possible words that you had been preparing to say. Only leaving you with a silent stare battle between the two.
“Hey…” You muttered, stepping forward. “How- How are you doing?”
“Good!” She whispered, warily putting down the newspaper. “I’m doing good. It’s a bit cold but I guess I shouldn’t be very surprised. Madam Pomfrey said it will pass.”
You nodded, trying to suppress the smile growing on your lips. Reaching for a nearby blanket, you took special care on putting it over her shoulders without realizing that her eyes stared at your every movement with a mix of confusion, nostalgia, relief and fondness long kept inside.
“There.” You sighed, sitting beside her. “That should help.”
“You have something on your face…” She mumbled, her hands stopping by themselves from reaching to your bruises.
“Grindylows… Damned pesky creatures.” You chuckled, lightly brushing your fingers over the healing wounds. “It’s but a scratch, Madame Pomfrey said it was nothing to worry about, it should fade in a day or two.”
And with a deep breath and throat cleared out, silence overtook again as you both tried to order your thoughts and process whatever was going on here.
It dawned on you that waiting for her to say the first word didn’t seem fair at all. After everything that happened it relied over your shoulders to step forward with the only sentence reasonable enough to say.
“Hey Jihan… I’m sorry.” You nodded, letting your head fall in shame. “I’m sorry about everything that happened at the Yule Ball. I never- I never really meant to…”
“It’s alright.” She mumbled, catching you by surprise. “Maybe I was being to clingy after all, and of course you’re more busy than before-”
“No! Of course not.” You interrupted her, mildly annoyed at how every word that she heard on that day could still be ingrained in her head. “I would never get tired of you!”
“Really?” Her words came out as a plea.
“Of course!” You sneered, finally daring to turn and face her. Her eyes were already laying on you, trying to hide the water already building up in them. Just that sight was enough to build up a knot in your throat. “I should have never let them talk to you like that but I was just so lost. The truth is that Jihan you’re- you’re special to me. You’re my friend and… a treasure.”
“A treasure?” The way she slightly tilted her head resembled a curious puppy.
“Yeah. They took a treasure from each of the champions for us to find in the bottom of the lake.” You tried to hide the blush building up in your cheeks, but the faucet of your tongue completely opened after a deep sigh. Knowing that if everything was going to come out, it was now or never. “And at first I didn’t understand what they were talking about. We all thought about jewelry, money. That last conversation kept repeating over and over in my head and how much I wished to just jump back. I wanted to change everything and not act like a complete idiot that has to pretend like I didn’t hurt one of the most important people in my life. I missed you. So much so that even after all of that, after I was about to convince myself that I had lost you forever, I realized that the treasure wasn’t something, it was someone. You.”
The silence that followed crushed against your shoulders, but it was only after you turned around to face Jihan that you realized that one tear had already escaped from her eye as she kept staring fixedly at her hands, fidgeting over her lap.
“Hey, I’m so sorry if that made you feel uncomforta-”
Her chest slammed against yours as her arms embraced you with all her strength. A shaky sigh being relieved over your shoulder and against your neck. You hesitated for a second before putting your own arms around her.
“I was so scared.” She muttered in your ear, her hands holding on to your clothing. “I was watching my own best friend turn into something I couldn’t recognize in front of my eyes. I got so scared that I just walked away without realizing that you were just as equally scared.”
You stayed there, getting back all the missed hugs and time that you could. You even realized how much you missed her heartbeat against your chest, slowly speeding up alongside yours.
“Are we interrupting something?” Zoa’s soft mutter made you jump, turning around to face her but without letting go of one of Jihan’s hands.
“No!...” You cleared your throat, with your eyes switching back and forth from your fellow champions to the girl slowly letting go of your hand with a visible wariness towards them in her glance. But you held on to her hand, reassuring her this time everything was different before turning to the other girls. “Is anything wrong?”
“Actually yes,” Monday stammered, her sight leaving you and addressing Jihan instead. “We wanted to apologize. Deeply.”
“We know that nothing can ever excuse our horrendous behavior on the Yule Ball, but it was all a big misunderstanding.” Zoa continued.
And this time none of them had the honeyed, fake-nice accent they had when talking to Jihan last time. You knew their tones were real this time.
“If we only knew how important you really are to Y/n… We didn’t even listen to them. And so much for us to be calling ourselves friends but we didn’t notice how much Y/n needed you back.” Monday added, but the amount of stammering coming out of the usually confident girl surprised you. On the other hand, the words made your cheeks slightly warm up. “We brought you this little treat from Honeydukes that Y/n helped us pick because they know your favorite too… They also told me the basket was actually your idea so I would like to thank you for that a lot. Y/n is really lucky to have someone like you…”
Her words died off as she stared back at you and your now incredibly red face and straight mouth. But with the corner of your eyes, you saw Jihan’s cheeks tinted in a pale pink, as she let your hand go to take the candy from Monday and held it close to her heart.
The whole sight made your heart flutter and you took advantage of your freed hands to turn around and hide your flushed face from the rest.
“Once again, we’re really sorry for everything that happened.” Zoa saved the awkward silence that was forming around. “If there’s anything we can do for you, we’ll gladly do.”
“Thanks… Uh-” Jihan sighed, and even though you were turning your back on her you felt her glance over you for a second. “Trying to step into your shoes I understood that this whole thing must be really hard for you too. It was just a bad night for all of us, it’s better to look at what lies ahead now.”
“Wow,” Monday gulped, her insecure self quickly dissolving into the air. “It’s real that Hufflepuffs are like… really good people huh. I thought this was gonna be harder.”
“By the way, thank you for saving us.” Jihan smiled towards the champions.
“Ah, you’re cute.” The Durmstrang champion muttered to herself. “Now I get why Y/n fell for you.”
“What?!” You spat.
“Huh?” Jihan whispered.
“What? I mean, nobody heard that.” Monday choked, trying to swallow back the spat out words. “No hard feelings sweetheart?”
She extended her hand towards Jihan, who hesitated a bit. She looked over at you with a certain tenderness that made your heart calm down, before giggling and shaking Monday’s hand.
“No hard feelings.” She answered.
“Hope you’re able to join us soon.” Zoa overtook the hand shake in a less aggressive way than the last girl. “It would be a pleasure to have you with us if you wish to.”
“Y/n we’re leaving, maybe grabbing a snack at the great hall.” Both champions stepped back, facing the way out of the hospital wing. “Are you coming with us?”
“Eh, no thanks. But I’ll see you tomorrow.” You dismissed them, glancing back to Jihan for a second as she placed her hand over yours. “I’m staying here for a bit more.”
They only nodded back at you before waving goodbye and exit the Hospital Wing in complete silence and with one question looming inside their minds. Only after they were out of the room and completely sure the door behind them was completely closed that they snapped around to each other, with Monday spitting out her words first.
“Are you sure Y/n said she’s not their girlfriend?” Monday uttered.
“Like, ninety percent sure now.”  Zoa answered in a calmer but still incredibly confused manner. “Maybe a bit lower.”
“There’s no way that there’s nothing in between them.” Monday declared, her hands aggressively painting the air in distressed explanations. “I mean, look at them! Look at how they look at each other!”
“I was indeed looking.” Zoa just stood still in contrast with the other girl, one arm crossed across her chest while her hand held up her chin. “But they seemed not to.”
“They can’t really be that blind?” The frantic girl walked in circles around the other. “Like, that was a confession! Right? You know, the whole ‘treasure speech’?”
“It would seem like it.”
“I swear those two could smell amortentia and say the reason they smell each other’s perfume is because they’re great friends.”
“Oh, it has definitely happened before.” A strange voice came from behind them, making them jump. They recognized the two girls walking up to them as your friends, those at Jihan’s side at the Yule Ball. “Hi, the name is Single and I’m very Soeun… wait-”
“Believe me, you’re not the only ones seeing all that.” The other girl approached and shrugged. “We have, all of Hogwarts has. For five years. By the way, I’m Jaehee. Pleased.”
“And they’ve just… done nothing about it?!” Monday gasped, her voice raising in volume just like her hands in desperation. “They’re about to graduate, and they’ve done nothing?”
“Absolutely nothing.” Both Soeun and Jihan answered at the same time.
“Sounds like someone needs a bit of a push.” Zoa hummed, joining the other three.
“We’ve pushed since year three. Metaphorically and literally in case they landed in each other’s arms. It didn’t quite go as planned and this scar right here proves it!” Soeun pointed to her ankle way too excited, as she almost lost balance but Jaehee returned her back as if it was an incredibly common occurrence. “But believe me, we’ve pushed before.”
“Then maybe it’s time…” Monday whispered as a smirk grew over lips. Her arms surrounded both Zoa and Soeun and pulled them closer, the last one letting out a squeak at the gesture as she pulled Jaehee with her. “...to shove.”
June 15th
“So a week from now you will be finally facing the hardest task yet in the Triwizard Tournament and it will test the lengths of your physical, magical and psychological strength.” Madam Hooch trailed through the Quidditch stands as Monday and Zoa watched attentively. “Don’t forget everything that we reviewed today and hopefully you’ll get out of that maze alive and well. Any questions?”
But that was the only thing you had registered in your brain so far, so the questions were far too many for you to brief them. But how were you supposed to focus when right behind Madam Hooch’s back lied the Quidditch pitch filled to the brim with hedges twisting and turning and making paths one could easily lose themselves in, all submerged in a thick fog that didn’t even allow you to see to the other side or the bottom of the pitch.
And a week from now you were expected to traverse it entirely on your own for the one glory of the Triwizard Tournament’s Cup. No pressure at all.
“I’ll take your silence as everything being clear and understood.” Her words made you shake your head, finally looking at her instead of the doomed pit behind her. “Well students, with the scores as close as they are, the outcome of this will determine the winner of the entire tournament. You must rest and prepare fervently as this is your last chance to snap the glory, and whatever you think will await you down there is nothing compared to what will be lurking in the maze. Do not underestimate that maze. You’re dismissed.”
You all took a second to react and pick up your things, startled at Madam Hooch’s last words. You all three bowed politely as you left in complete and heavy silence, stealing glances at the looming maze right beside you.
“Sometimes I wonder how this Tournament is approved.” Monday broke the tension as you walked down the stairs. “‘Hopefully you’ll get out of that maze alive and well?’ As if there was a possibility we couldn’t?”
“At least it feels nice to have a warning now, instead of realizing as dragons chase you around or water demons try to drown you.” You sneered, rolling your eyes.
“Exactly!” She answered. “It’s like everytime we say ‘Well, it can’t get any worse than this!’ they do everything in their power to prove us wrong.”
“To be fair, at the beginning they were very clear that this was going to be dangerous.” Zoa shrugged, fidgeting her hands. “It’s not like we get to complain about it now that we’ve come so far.”
“Well maybe I do feel like complaining about it right now!” Monday raised her voice in a honeyed tone, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Y/n!” You heard someone calling your name as soon as you exited the stands.
“Jihan!” You rushed to hug her, an instant smile growing over your lips. “What are you doing here? I thought I would catch you up at the Great Hall.”
“There you are!” Jiyoon’s voice closed in as her, Soeun, Soojin and Jaehee all approached behind.
“Hey everyone!” Monday soon caught up as all the group reunited. “What brings you all to mysteriously reunite together over here?”
“You told us to-”
“Ah you see,” Soeun cut Jiyoon up before she could continue. “It’s your last couple of weeks here at Hogwarts and we thought of giving you one last guided tour throughout the school!”
“If it's any like the hundreds of tours you’ve already tried to give them…” You chuckled, shrugging. “It’s just gonna be a disaster.”
“Ah, name one time!” Soeun defended herself, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Well…” You stepped forward, with hands on your hips and a raised eyebrow. “The time you never arrived at the astronomy tower and you left Jihan and I waiting for you like idiots…”
“In our defense we got trapped in the moving stairs and Soeun and Jaehee went to get us.” Monday answered for that one, raising her finger as she explained.
“Or when you thought it was a good idea to sneak into the potions classroom to look at Snape’s private collection and he almost caught you while you insisted we smelled the amortentia?” Jihan then stepped beside you with her arms crossed, taking your side.
“With a bit of hindsight, I admit that one was a bit risky, yeah…” Jaehee rubbed the back of her neck, shrinking in her place.
“Or that last time you wanted to take them to Hogsmeade and Jihan and I lost everyone in the crowd…” You continued.
“It was really crowded, we are not really used to that.” Zoa hid her hands behind her, slightly giggling in embarrassment. “Our sincere apologies about that day.”
“And when we thought we would find you in Madam Puddifoot’s Tea Shop it turned out you had only made a reservation for two?” You finished.
“May have miscalculated a bit there.” Soeun rubbed her temples, sighing in defeat. “But you two had fun didn’t you?!”
“Yeah…” Jihan sighed, a slight smirk making an appearance on her face.
“Well yes but,” Just looking at the girl beside you made a pink tint appear on your cheeks, before shaking your head and clearing your throat to continue talking. “They’ve been here for almost a year… Don’t you think they’ve seen most of Hogwarts already?”
“Most! But I’m pretty sure there are lots of places they still don’t know about though! And perhaps…” Jaehee jumped forward, before scanning all three champions from head to toe. “A little calm stroll will serve you alright. You look terrible.”
“Thanks?” You scoffed.
“Sounds good to me!” Monday shrugged, surrounding both Jihan and you with her arms. “It will do us good. Don’t you agree Y/n?”
“Yeah, sure.” You hesitated, your words dragging out of your mouth. “If you want to-”
“Then let’s go!” Monday pushed you both forward, taking Jiyoon under her arm.
“Everybody pick a partner, grab them by the hand and form a line! No one is getting lost this time!” Soeun insisted. It was an instinct. You offered your hand to Jihan, who gracefully took it with a chuckle and an eye roll before intertwining your fingers. “This Hogwarts VIP tour is departing soon!”
“VIP tour?” You sneered, looking in disbelief at your friend.
“I’ll take all your questions at the end of the tour please.” She put a finger up and right in front of your face before turning around. “Off we go! On your right you will find…”
You couldn’t help but giggle at your friend and their endless enthusiasm. Coupled with Jaehee casting Lumos and raising her wand to seem like an actual tour guide herself, the entire situation relieved your soul from the burden of the third task briefing.
Strolling and enjoying the fresh winds of the summer breeze by the hand of your favorite person in the world was something you would never get tired of. Even if that was accompanied by a background narration of Soeun and Jaehee spilling unknown facts and possibly even made up ones about the simple most insignificant things around the school.
The sight of the school and the mountains surrounding it was a precious one as Soeun and Jaehee rushed you to watch the sunset together at a higher point, passing through the Training Grounds, the Womping Willow and towards the Greenhouses.
According to them it was only meant to be a quick stop, so you could catch the sunset by the viaduct, but as you were exiting one of them, the door slammed shut before you and Jihan could cross it.
"Wait! What happened?!" Jihan tried to push and pull the doors but to no avail.
"I… I don't know!" Soeun's voice hesitated for a bit, shaking the locks from the other side. "It's locked!"
"Step back everyone!" You ushered Jihan back as you got your wand out, pointing it at the lock. "Alohomora!"
But the lock didn't bulge or glowed, it stood there completely still. Someone kept shaking the door from the other side but it didn't serve any purpose.
"It didn't work! Someone must've enchanted the lock!" Jaehee's voice came from the little crevice between the doors.
"Dammit!" You spit out, rubbing the back of your neck. "What should we do?!"
"Hold there!" You could hear how they muttered stuff between them on the other side but you couldn't make up any words. "We'll… we'll go find someone!"
"Soeun! Wait!" You slammed your hand against the door to hold their attention but their steps were getting farther and farther. "Don't-"
Their blurred shadows disappeared into the distance, as you rested your forehead against it, a deep breath let out of your lips.
"I knew this was going to be a disaster. I’m starting to believe they just do it on purpose." You mumbled under your breath before turning around. "Well, it's us again Ji- Jihan?"
But she wasn't beside you, instead you found her looking around some plants at the other side of the greenhouse. Slowly peeking between tiny sprouts before muttering something to herself and jumping back, just barely avoiding a Snargaluff.
The sight was kind of endearing for you, besides, it's not like you both get much alone time these days so taking advantage of the basically forced situation you approached her.
"What are you looking for?" You asked.
"Some Alihotzy." She answered, her eyes set on all the different plants surrounding you while holding out her book. "We're supposed to use some for tomorrow's potions class."
"Ah,” You nodded, pretending to understand her. A silence wrapped both of you as you pretended to look with her, before sighing and giving up. “I have no idea what Alihotzy looks like if I’m honest."
"I do but I can’t find it anywhere!" She shrugged as she closed the book, pursing her lips and turning to you.
"Can I?" You extended your hand towards the book.
She gently let the book over your hand, before walking away to search on the other side of the room. You opened it right in the middle, knowing well enough the page the plant was on had to be somewhere at the beginning.
But while turning the pages you encountered something strange. One page had been ripped out right among the ‘G’ letter seccion, only left attached to the book was its border.
It only took you a second to react, reaching towards your bag and searching frantically until your hand finally found what you looked for. The page you had found beside the Gillyweed filled bag right before the second task. Unfolding it, your heart started speeding up as you closed it in, carefully aligning its border with the one of the page you had.
A perfect fit.
It was Jihan, she had put that inside your bag that day somehow. She saved your life, the life of the other champions and consequently her life as well.
Even after everything that happened at the Yule Ball.
"Huh-" You cleared your throat, still unable to take your eyes from the book. “Jihan you…"
"Shh! Y/n!" She cut you up in a whisper, making you snap your head up.  "Look!"
“Fireflies?” The little glowing creatures were flying around the entire room, lighting it up. It wasn’t often that you saw them, they were only known to fly in the forbidden forest. “How did they get here?”
“I don’t know!” Jihan giggled, prancing towards you. “But it’s just…”
“Beautiful.”
You both sighed the word at the same time, glancing at each other. The coincidence made a wide smile paint itself over your faces and your cheeks tint themselves in red.
And avoiding each other’s stares, your eyes preferred to scan the area and take the moment in. While your life was undeniably filled with all sorts of magic, it was moments like this that wowed you even more.
The flickering and floating lights through the air only brought your mind to one moment where you had seen them before. The Yule Ball.
So with a deep sigh and chills running all over your spine, you filled yourself with courage, silently walking behind Jihan and softly taping her shoulder.
“May I?” You offered her your hand, slightly bowing to her. You caught the uncertainty in her eyes. “I promise this time will be different.”
A gentle nod and a smirk was enough before she delicately put her hand on yours. You pulled her in, one arm surrounding her waist as her other hand rested over your shoulder.
Her arms were comfortable and familiar, as you glided with ease around the greenhouse. Everything faded into the background as your attention only focused on the girl in front of you.
Maybe this time there wasn’t an entire orchestra playing for you but it’s not like you needed it. Your hearts synchronized, keeping a beat to which you danced together side by side in an air filled with flying glitter and shy giggles.
After a while Jihan rested her head over your chest, just letting you sway closely and let the moment steep in. You leaned your head over hers, catching a glimpse of a rapidly growing vine that intertwined its way until it was right on top of you.
“Was… that there before?” You muttered, making Jihan look up with you.
“I don’t think it was…” She said, raising one of her eyebrows. “But it’s the middle of summer, how can they grow mistletoe here?”
“Oh, mistletoe-” You nodded, of course she knew the exact plant by just looking at it.
But the realization hit you both at the same time with a bludger, as you jumped together and away from each other.
Words tangled on their way out of your mouths with laughter, as you tried explaining to the other the reason you had jumped away. Jihan just sighed and went back to looking for the plant she needed and you just pretended to do the same on the other side, occasionally stealing glances her way.
An awkward silence filled the greenhouse as your thoughts trailed away from the moment.
“What’s wrong Y/n?” Only Jihan’s voice brought you back after a while, making you jump and shake your head to let those thoughts go away.
“It’s the last task, that’s all.” You muttered, avoiding her glance.
“I know you’re not the bravest wizard of the world but I doubt it’s only the last task that’s eating you up.” Her hand gently snaked around your arm, pulling you to pay attention to her. “C’mon, we have time until they come back.”
It was difficult to say no to her, with her bright eyes containing the stars of the night sky or the dimples around her grin. So placing your hand over hers, you stared at the floor.
“It’s out last year here Jihan.” You sighed. “I still have no idea of what I want after we’re out of here and it’s just… I’m scared.”
“Scared?” She chuckled, her head tilting in curiosity. “After battling out dragons and underwater demons… you’re scared of the future?”
“I’m not precisely scared of the future.” You shook your head as you walked away from her, letting all your weight fall as you leaned over the middle table. “I’m scared to spend my future… alone.”
You didn’t even let Jihan say something before you let out every word burdening your mind, plus some feeling that even yourself had not even really understood completely.
“After what happened at the Yule Ball… I-” You glazed over her loving eyes, the words scrambling on your brain before you could even get them out. “I just couldn’t get myself to… I ate alone, walked to classes alone, studied alone and had no one to talk to. It was just the worst time of my life and after we’re done and we all go our separate ways… It’s gonna be me alone again.”
“You either think too much or don’t think at all sometimes…” Jihan sighed as she embraced you completely with her arms, confusing you even further.
“I’m a ravenclaw, what did you expect?” You scoffed, rolling your eyes.
“Do you really think you’ll be all alone after all of this?” She let go, rushing to stand right in front of you, holding your hands in hers. “After seven years just sharing the craziest things together you think we’re just going to let you go that easily?”
“I- Um…” You stuttered, trying to avoid watching her for too long, as the whole situation and pose were already enough to tint your cheeks a pale pink.
“Of course not!” She pulled from your arms as she jumped, pulling you even closer. “Y/n you’re our friend! Even what happened after the Yule Ball couldn’t drag us apart, and you think finishing Hogwarts will? You’ll always have Soeun, Jaehee, probably keep contact with Monday and Zoa…”
“And you?” You mumbled under your breath, but loud enough to stop her ramble.
“And me.” She sighed, reaching up to tuck a hair behind your ear with delicate care. “Especially me. It’s not going to be easy to get rid of me, I’ll always find a way to come back to you.”
“I hope so. I don’t want to lose you ever again.” You whispered, matching a tone that only both of you, this close together, were able to hear.
“You won’t” Maybe it was your imagination, or the dim light around, but you could swear she was getting closer each second. “I promise.”
With the sun completely set and your only lightsource being the fireflies surrounding you, the only glow you had with you was Jihan’s, and there was something about it that just called you closer to her. Closer until you felt each other’s breath against your faces, closer you both closed your eyes…
“We got it!” A distant voice made you pull apart in a startled jump.
It wasn’t long until you heard the stampede coming to the greenhouse doors, their shadows clear and awaiting on the other side as a metal clank signaled your new freedom. You only shared a shy glance before running towards the exit, letting her go through first before being stopped by Soeun.
“You’re finally free!” She cheered, leaning towards you as if she awaited something else from you. “So…”
“So… what?” You dragged out, confused.
“Anything happened there? Anything you want to tell us?” Jaehee closed in with her, her eyebrows raising and a smug smirk plastered over her lips.
“Ah…” You mumbled, “Thanks?”
Both of them sighed, dropping their smiles and arms to their sides. A shared disappointed glance made you chuckle a bit before you closed in to whisper in Soeun's ear.
“By the way, there’s a bit of mistletoe hanging over there, if you want to just… take a quick look inside with Monday, if you know what I mean.” You shoved her playfully, ending with a mocking chuckle. “Shall we go on with the tour? I’m starving.”
You kept walking, reaching Jihan who was already a bit steps forward. But you kept your distance from each other, your hands neatly kept in your pockets as you strolled together to the castle, unaware of your friends staying behind just staring at you two.
“‘There’sabitofmistletoe’ Of course there’s mistletoe in there.” Soeun sneered, imitating you. “I put it there!”
“Any news?!” Monday and Zoa rushed excitedly to the other pair, followed by Jiyoon and Soojin closely behind.
“Nothing,” Jaehee groaned, her frustrated glance unable to leave you. “Not. A. Damn. Thing.”
“Ah dammit.” Jiyoon scoffed, loudly complaining. “Now we have to round all these fireflies for nothing.”
“We’re so doomed!... Well, they are!” Soeun let herself drop on a bench in defeat, the others following around by leaning on the greenhouse wall or kneeling on the floor. “We tried everything!”
“Maybe not everything…” Zoa muttered while rubbing her chin, snapping everyone’s attention to her.
“What’s on your mind Zoa?” Jaehee asked.
“It may take a while to do it, a week maybe.” The Beauxbatons champion shook her head as the plan took its final form in her head. “But if this doesn’t work… Nothing else will.”
“But the final task is exactly one week away.” Monday closed in.
“Exactly.”

Chapter 6.1
Previous: Chapter 5
Warning: Mention of blood
••❣︎❤︎❣︎••
The sun rays from the open windows woke up the sleeping Y/n. She sits up as she stretched, scoot off of her bed, and put on her slippers to look at the view outside. The sun is shining bright, heart decorations almost everywhere, couples holding hands, it's Valentine's Day.
⊱⋅ ──────────── ⋅⊰
✰ Chapter 6.1 ✰
Day of Love?
Y/n is eating breakfast by herself. Her house is very quiet, she likes it but there are times that she doesn't. It makes her feel like she's alone. To solve that, she puts the used utensils in the sink to get something, something that never fails to ease her mind.
Her fingers brush against the family portrait's frame, delicately opening it like a door shortly after, revealing a dark passageway to the basement, its only light is the room Y/n is in. She lits up the lantern near her before going down.
Their basement is almost empty, the only items are a box and a few things inside of it. Y/n lights up the other candles after she puts down her lantern.
She then searches through the box until she finally found it, the music box given by her Tia.
Y/n twists the lever of the music box, and she lets go afterward for the music to play.
//////////////////////////////////
"Y/n." A woman named Querube gingerly caresses her niece's face, sad that there's no emotion left in her eyes. The once sweet and shy little girl is now unexpressive. But she knew deep down, Y/n is just scared to show any.
They, along with the woman's ill husband and nephews, are hidden from the frightened and enraged villagers, who were searching for the little girl.
She smiles sadly at Y/n as she gives her a music box, she hands it to her, "Here, play this whenever you want to."
Y/n goggles at her aunt to the music box, it's blue with gold accents. It looks kind of old but it's still magnificent. Querube sighs in relief, there's still hope to bring back the old Y/n, "Your mother gave that to me when I was your age." Her aunt spoke, "It always helps when I have a migraine and need to relax, maybe it will do the same to you too."
Querube kisses her forehead before turning to the quadruplets, hugging each of them, "Be careful on your way to Encanto."
//////////////////////////////////
Y/n hums along with the music while she sways her body from side to side. Sometimes, she likes to pretend she's one of those princesses you read in fairy tales.
She unconsciously made glitter lights from behind her as she dance, careful to not trip over the candles. Speaking of candles, its flame starts to sway along. Y/n slightly giggles, since today is Valentine's day, she pretends she has someone to waltz with.
She closes her eyes as she starts to imagine her dance partner. It's a boy, with curly hair, has freckles, and is wearing a ruana. Wait, why does her imaginative dance partner resemble Camilo? Yes, he's her friend, but she can't deny he's incredibly good-looking.
His green, sparkling eyes, there are times she caught him gazing at her. She felt his eyes on her when she was playing with the dog/cat. People find it creepy but to her, she weirdly felt flattered, it's the way he looks at her.
His arms, the way he hugs her from before, she feels surprisingly emotional thinking about it, it's been a long time since she hugged someone with warmth and comfort, no fear of doing it.
And lastly, his lips that were pressed on her knuckles, felt so soft and warm. Her heart starts beating fast, this feeling, makes her want to puke to make it go away.
The music comes to an end making her stop waltzing open her eyes, they widen when she realizes there are glitter lights almost everywhere, she tries to push this feeling away for the lights to disappear.
Y/n was about to go back to the living room when she halts, jaw almost drops when she perceives that the boy who was just in her mind had been standing at the doorway this whole time.
"Wow.." Camilo flabbergasted. He's holding something behind him. Y/n went cold that she got caught, she bites her lip to calm herself down.
"Camilo, what are you doing here?" She climbs up the stairs, she's kind of mad that he just enters her home without her permission. "I'm sorry, I was just worried that no one answered." He rubs the back of his neck, smiling nervously.
"So.." Camilo paused, his eyes are everywhere but on Y/n, he gulps before he continues, "That's what you meant by you don't want to hurt me? You have powers?" He finally looks at her, his eyes are unreadable. Is he scared? Confused? Amazed? Y/n is not sure. The girl timidly nods, her head hanging low.
Camilo looks back at the basement, the burned floor makes sense now, she has fire powers. He then catches a glimpse of words on the back of the portrait, 'vent room'.
//////////////////////////////////
"Promise me Y/n, to not show your powers, and stay away from my family."
"I promise Señora Madrigal."
//////////////////////////////////
Y/n feels sick with apprehension, Camilo is unnervingly quiet now. She grits her teeth, she broke her promise, she doesn't care if she'll be sent back outside the Encanto, what she does care about is her brothers, they'll be sent away with her too. They'll be very disappointed or mad at her, she should've not listened to Alejandro. She supposed to not go near the Madrigals, show her powers, and now she's friends with one. Why did she let that happen?
Negative thoughts whirl around in her brain. Her breathing hitches, heart pounding, threatening to escape her ribcage. Y/n's mad at herself for not thinking rationally. She wants to punch herself until she blacks out. She cursed herself, just a few minutes ago, she was living in her own world dancing and now she's about to do what she thinks is right. One thing that made her snap is the thought of Camilo getting hurt by her. She cannot let that happen.
Camilo reaches out to cup her face, his other hand still behind him, but she backs away, with clouds of smoke above her head. Y/n mutters something. The boy tilts his head, asking her to repeat what she said. And she did, "Let's not be friends anymore."
The boy just raises his eyebrow. He was about to laugh thinking it was a joke until he sees that Y/n is actually serious. His body has become stiff, "You're serious?" "I'm sorry Camilo, please forget about me, you have other friends right?" She assumed he does because Camilo is a social butterfly.
He bites the inside of his cheeks, "Please.. tell me this is just a prank Y/n.. if it's about your powers, I promise I will not tell anyone. Let's forget about Abuela instead." The girl's finger twitches. Did he know all this time? She wanted to ask him about that but she has to end this as soon as possible.
Y/n just watches him holding back his tears. This sight breaks her heart. She had done this before, why is it so hard with Camilo? What does he see in her that makes him like this?
She gives him cold eyes, she thought maybe this will make him go away and forget about everything, "Get out." "Y/n-" "I said, get out." She raised her voice that caused Camilo to flinch. He steps backward slowly, eyes still glued on Y/n's. He reaches for the knob to open the main door and went outside, not forgetting to close it.
The girl drops to her knees as she attempts to not turn into a ball of fire. The vent room is just right there yet she can't move. She bites her lip harshly, droplets of blood fall on the wooden floor.
The door creaks open making Y/n freeze. "Hermanita?" She swiftly perks her head up, it's Jacinto. He runs to her but Y/n backs away, "Don't go near me." She pleaded, "I'm so sorry Jacinto, I broke my promise, Camilo knows."
His lips parted in shock. He pulls himself together and kneels down on her level, "Do you think he's going to tell anyone?" Y/n remembers what Camilo said so she shakes her head. Jacinto smiles in relief, he spreads his arms for a hug and says that it's okay, but Y/n only looks away, not wanting him to get burned.
Jacinto frowns sadly, standing up, "I'll make soup for you to ease your mind."

❣︎ | @medicus-mortem :: from here |
Tumblr media
As long as they'd been travelling together, Rocinante really ought to have known by now that there was little room for bargaining with this kid. Not when he was thinking about this from a triage perspective: bleeding had to stop first, they could worry about cold later. Guilt still settled in his heart though, for it was his fault for being hit and now it was going to cost them something later. Half a cry escaped his ribcage without permission when a small foot collided with his knee and pulled him sharply away from his spiraling thoughts - equal parts to get his attention and to tell him to get his shit together, he imagined. Fair; it was difficult to sway Law's mood when he was this stressed. Still, the large man's voice withered into a reedy, half-breathless chuckle. " I'm not doin' anything ! Don't - don't be so mean, " protest aside, he took the jumper and pressed it to the injury as directed, face briefly contorting with pain though he remained quiet.
Anything else that he wanted to say died in his chest as the boy shouted, concern flickering across his own features as he noted the change of tone in Law's voice - the fear, the guilt that bled through. Did he think this was his fault ? Self-blame, like the grip of death, clung to this kid. Rocinante had to resist the urge to reach out for him, fingers twitching against his makeshift compress as the other got caught up in the throes of a coughing fit. " Law, this isn't - you didn't - " It felt incredibly important to say, but he couldn't get his increasingly anaemic brain to cooperate. What did he say ? He was going to go get something ? A wave of undisguised worry coursed through his expression.
( Wait it's dangerous, don't leave by yourself. ) ( Don't leave me. )
Time must have swam, moved on a bit without him, because when he opened his eyes again ( when had he closed them ? ) it was as if he'd never left at all. The former executive steadied and measured his breath, doing a quick mental checklist to try and discern the state of the rest of him, wound aside. " Glad y'came back. 're you okay ? "

❣thirty-four: we're not waiting
Bulletproof Heart
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The five of them enter the garage and the members of Bulletproof go to pick up their instruments while Y/n settles into her spot on an old couch against one wall. It's where she usually sits and scribbles supplementary verses that she refuses to show the boys.
"We've got a surprise for you today, Y/nie," Taehyung smiles after they've gotten their instruments tuned up and ready.
"Hmm?" She wonders, she'd already been thinking about what she'd last written in her notebook as she opened it.
"A new song," Jungkook adds, giving his words a flourish with a random chord.
"Oh! Cool!" Y/n puts down her pen and rests her hands in her lap to give them her full attention.
"Jimin," Jin says, with his eyes on the ground, and the drummer counts them off.
Y/n listens closely to the lyrics as always. They're clearly talking about a girl, but it doesn't dawn on her until the chorus that it might be about her.
Her bulletproof heart still bleeds
But her bulletproof heart still beats
And I know the whole world she'll take
'Cause her bulletproof heart won't break
Jin's beautiful voice sings to her, his words punctuated by the eye contact he dares to share with her. Y/n is frozen in place with a wide-eyed expression until the song ends. No one says anything until Tae breaks the silence, impatient as always.
"Well?" It seems as if all the boys are as anxious for her reaction as Jin is.
"You wrote that song for me?" She asks finally. All of the boys turn to Jin.
"Yes," he replies, his voice getting caught in his throat. Y/n's mouth hangs open for a moment, moving slightly as if it wants to form words, but she can't choose any.
"Excuse me," she says suddenly before pushing off the couch and going into the house. She goes straight to the kitchen for a drink of water.
Jin clears his throat nervously. "I'll go talk to her, " he mumbles to the other guys before he follows her inside, guided to her by the sound of the faucet in the kitchen. "Hey." He startles her, causing her to choke on the water she is gulping down. She struggles to regain her composure, leaning heavily against the kitchen counter until she can breathe properly again.
"You wrote that song?" It's less of a question and more a demand for an answer.
"I did, yes," he responds nervously, his eyes glancing between her face and the wall.
"Why would you write that song about me?"
Jin shrugs. "Because I was inspired by you, I guess."
"Why? I'm not like that. Not like what you said." Jin comes closer toward her and she backs away slightly, so he stops.
"Not like what?"
"Not Bulletproof. Not unbreakable."
Jin takes a chance to take one step closer and is relieved when she doesn't move away. He's close enough to tuck her hair behind her ear now. "I think you are. And I think you know you are. You said it first."
"When?" She can't help but look up at him and see his sincere eyes.
"On Twitter, when you introduced yourself as Heart. You said a heart is something that seems fragile but is resilient. That's you." He's somehow gotten even closer to her, their bodies less than a foot apart, moving subtly closer.
"These days I don't feel very resilient. I feel like I'm on the verge of breaking." Her words are whispered, but he's close enough to hear it.
"But you won't. I know you won't. You're strong. But if somehow you do. You'll find a way to put yourself back together, and I'll be happy to help." She's fully aware of how close he is to her now. Her heart is racing and she can barely hear him over the sound of it. She can feel the heat coming from his body.
"If I'm so strong then why are you always saving me?" She wonders.
"I'm not saving you. I'm helping you. And I help you because I like you." She's never heard him say the words out loud, and she can't help watching his lips as they form the sounds.
"Would you help me if you didn't like me?" She's stalling, fearful of just how badly she wants to close the distance between them.
"I guess we'll never know."
Her eyes flicker up to meet his. "Then can I kiss you?" She didn't fully think about the question before it left her, but it's too late to regret it.
"If that's what you want, then yes."
Maybe she should hesitate, but she doesn't, because she does want. She wants him. She's known it for a while now, she just couldn't let herself. But now she's feeling his warm, soft lips against hers, and it's hard to remember why she held back because this feels so right. Not like other kisses she's had before. This one means something, and he can feel it too. He takes his hand from where it’s been shoved safely in his pocket to gently hold her hips, but it doesn't take much encouragement for her hips to press into his while her hands take hold of his shoulders. The kiss is fairly chaste, but it’s everything that it should be, gentle and warm, comfortable and safe. Everything Seokjin is to her. Everything he wants her to feel. It's a perfect kiss that ends only a fraction of a second too soon when she loses her balance, but his hands are there to steady her. Jin clears his throat, his eyes bashfully avoiding hers.
"That was nice." Y/n hums in response, her eyes barely fluttering open to see how his cheeks have reddened. "There's something else."
"What?" She tries to force the fog left over in her mind to clear.
"Um, the boys have something to ask you," he smiles.
"They don't want kisses too, do they?" Jin laughs uneasily at her joke.
"God, I hope not. But we should go back."
Y/n pouts slightly but agrees. No need to rush, she thinks and lets herself be led back to the garage.
Jungkook is quick with questions. "Y/n was it okay? Did you hate it?"
"No, Kookie. I didn't hate it. I thought it was great." She smiles at each of them.
"You thought it was great, or you thought hyung was great?" Tae grins back, noticing how she still looks slightly flushed.
"You were all great."
"Thanks, Y/n. That's the nicest thing you've ever said to me." She can't help rolling her eyes at Jimin. "So, we wanted to know if you'll join the band?"
Y/n's eyes look as though they might pop out of her head. "You want what? You want me to join Bulletproof?" She turns to each member, all wearing some variation of curious, hopeful eyes.
"Tae, Kookie and Jin hyung all say you have an amazing voice. I'm willing to take their word for it and won't make you audition." Jimin shrugs.
Y/n sighs sadly. "I told you guys I don't sing. I can't."
"You can!" Tae insists.
"Okay, then I won't."
"Why not?" Tae whines like a child told he can't have ice cream before dinner.
"It's none of your business why not," Y/n snaps at him. The silence that falls is sharp as her eyes meet Jungkook’s and then fall to the floor.
Jin places a steadying hand on her shoulder and she feels at ease immediately.
"It's okay, Y/n. You don't have to explain if you don't want to. It's clearly something personal to you, and we'll all respect that." Jin nods at his younger members.
"Fine. But what about your raps?" Tae pushes.
“What about them?”
“The raps Hoseok says you’ve been writing. What if you did those?” Jungkook cuts in.
“I told you guys, it’s nothing,” she sighs. “Why do you want me to join anyway?”
“Because we feel like you’re part of Bulletproof already. You come to all of our practices. And Jin thinks you’re a really great writer!” Jungkook’s enthusiasm melts her heart a little, but she turns to Seokjin.
“This isn’t a secret. I love your writing, and I want to see what you’ve done,” Jin smiles, allowing himself to be a little hopeful.
Y/n sighs heavily. “Guys, I just don’t think right now is a good time. I’ve got something else I have to do and I just don’t know if our styles would match. A punk-rap group?”
“I think it sounds awesome!” Tae chimes.
Before Y/n can make another argument against the idea, Hoseok’s car pulls up in front of the house, visible to the group through the raised garage door. He’s getting out, but before he can even close the driver’s side door Y/n grabs her bag and her notebook off the couch and starts walking toward the car.
“I have to go!” she says in a rush, but turns back to look at Seokjin, ignoring the disappointed faces of the other boys. “I’ll talk to you later,” she smiles.

Masterlist ❣︎ Requests
Me too
Harry comes downstairs, from you and his shared bedroom to see you sitting at the kitchen table, staring into space. You looked emotionless, and that wasn’t you at all. He stops and realizes, you haven’t eaten since this morning. And all you ate was a scrambled egg. He checked the watch on his wrist. 5:56. You need to eat.
“You hungry, lovie? You haven’t eaten all day.” Harry asks, concern laced in his voice. “No.” You say dryly. You haven’t been yourself since you found out you had cancer. You’ve been down, and irritable. You snapped at Harry a lot. You didn’t mean too, sometimes you just wanted to be to yourself. Harry understands. He just wants you to be okay again. But he tried his best not to nag you, or sound like a broken record. “You know you’ve been being sick a lot from your treatment. I just don’t want you to get dehydrated or anything.” He reminds you timidly.
“Harry, I know i’ve been sick. I don’t need you to remind me. I’ll eat when I want to.” You immediately snap. Exactly what he was trying to avoid. Except this time, it didn’t make him feel defeated. It didn’t make him want to walk away. It made him angry. He wants to help you, and he’s honestly tired of you being unappreciative, and pushing him away. He’s tired of you talking to him this way, as if this was his fault.
“Y/N I’m just trying to help you. You don’t need to get defensive.” He says, concealing his annoyance, but his tone having a very obvious edge to it.
That’s when you started yelling. “I’m not getting defensive! I’m just telling you that I know I have cancer. I don’t need you to remind me every five fucking seconds!”
“Y/N.” He warns, clenching his jaw, and letting his eyes fall shut, pinching the bridge of his nose. He’s trying to tell you that he’s getting angry without actually saying it, hoping you’ll read his body language and calm down. But you either don’t realize or don’t care as you continued to utter your harsh words, in an unreasonably loud voice, getting under his skin more and more.
“You know, maybe you have to be reminded of this shit constantly, but I don’t. I don’t just fucking forget. You don’t know what it’s like to constantly have to think about thi-“
That’s the sentence that sent Harry over the edge. Because you were so wrong. That wasn’t true in the slightest. He didn’t even let you finish your thought before he started yelling even louder that you.
“Yes the fuck I do, Y/N! This is hard for me too. I love you more than anything in the entire world. Do you think it’s easy watching you, the person I love go through something like this, knowing there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it but be there for you, and I can’t even do that without you snapping me up? Because it’s not.” His voice boomed.”
That made you go quiet. You didn’t even know what to say to that. There wasn’t just anger laced in his voice. There was hurt, and fear. You knew this was something that’s been on his heart for a while. He doesn’t stop there though. He continues on lowering his voice, just a bit.
“You know I don’t want this for you. And I completely understand how hard this is for you. But this is not my fucking fault. And I’ve had it up to here with you acting like you’re in this alone. You know damn well I hate this just as much as you do.”
The guilt was hitting you all at once. How could you invalidate his feelings. Of course this is hard on him too. You couldn’t believe you’d been so inconsiderate. You could look at him and tell this was much more than him being fed up with your attitude. He’s petrified. And you’re not even making an effort to be there for him, because you’re too caught up in yourself. He’s the one that feels alone.
“I’m tired.” You say, tears desperate to fall, but you hold them back and hope Harry doesn’t notice. Because the fact that you’re crying after everything you put him through without even realizing is embarrassing.
You hurry upstairs to your bedroom, and shut the door. You try to shut it softly so that he doesn’t think you’re angry. You flop down face first on Harry’s side of the bed, immediately letting the tears flow, sobbing into the pillow. You didn’t even care if he heard you anymore.
In the mean time Harry was standing in the same spot you left him, staring at the spot you were sitting before you left. Out of pure anger, he swipes the vase off the table with all his force, causing it to hit the wall and shatter, the shards scattering across the floor, yelling a “fuck” in the process. He wanders over to the couch, walking as if he had no real intention on going to the couch.
He sits down and rubs his thumb and forefinger over his eyes, letting his emotions get the best of him. He just doesn’t understand why you don’t think this hurts him too. Does he not show you enough? There’s no way. He just hates this for you. He hates that you have to go through this.
He made it a point to show you he cared but he never wanted to show you how much this was actually affecting him. He never cried around you. He always waited until you weren’t around. Sometimes he would be physically sick to his stomach, because he was so genuinely upset and scared that it made him nauseous. But he never told you that. He didn’t want to worry you. But he also didn’t want you to act like you think he’s enjoying this.
He doesn’t take long to get himself together. He didn’t fully let himself cry it out. He just needed to take a couple of seconds to think.
Then, he remembered that you ran upstairs. The tears that threatened to spill from your eyes didn’t go unnoticed as much as you’d hoped, so he knew you were upset, and he knew you were probably crying. He wanted to go check on you. He didn’t want you to cry. He just wanted you to understand.
Your sobs got louder and louder, as he got closer to to the top of the stairs. The sound was breaking his heart. He slowly opened the door and saw you laying face down on his side of the bed, sobbing your heart out. He didn’t hesitate to lay next to you and pull you into his arms.
“Shhhh I’m sorry baby. I’m so sorry.” He soothed. And he was. He was sorry for everything. He didn’t say anything else. He just let you cry until you were ready to talk. After a good 10 minutes, you sat up. Harry stared at you waiting for you to say something. Yet all he got was silence. He sat up next to you and placed his hand on your lower back. “Talk to me love.” He encourages.
You take a second to gather your thoughts before you speak. “I- I’m so sorry.” You say sounding absolutely distraught. “I was being so selfish. I was so worried about how I was feeling that I forgot to think about your feelings. I’m so sorry.” You started getting worked up again.
“It’s not just your fault.” Harry started. “I was bottling up my feelings. I wasn’t letting you in.” He admits.
“You don’t have to tell me specifically what you were feeling, Harry. I implied that you didn’t care. That I was the only one going through this. That was so wrong.”
“But I should have told you how I was feeling anyways. I shouldn’t be acting like I don’t cry when you’re not around. I shouldn’t be acting like I haven’t had countless sleepless nights, because I was staying up thinking about this. I’m behaving like I don’t think about this 24/7. So I’m sorry.”
After a couple seconds he starts talking again. “It’s just that-“ He trails off. He puts his face in his hands, finally just breaking down completely. Now it’s your turn to pull him into your arms, somewhat glad he’s just letting himself cry. You know that he’s hurting with you, and you’re glad he’s taking this time to let himself feel without hiding.
“I’m trying so hard to say strong for you.” He sobs through tears. “I just want you to get better.”
“I will baby. For you.”

❣- What calms your muse down?
answered here <3
✎- Can your muse draw? How well/How Bad?
HAHAHA no he’s horrendously bad. it’s true calligraphy & drawing/painting are extremely similar & you are generally good at both of them or none of them when you practice! it’s not his technique that’s bad ( he can make very nice lines thanks to his calligraphy ), he just .... lacks the ability to represent anything on paper. gets too caught up in details maybe & it just ends up a mess, or what he attempts to draw looks nothing like the actual thing.
‽- Something your muse has problem in understanding
people <3 mu qing is a person who views everything with logic. he examines situations logically, he thinks decisions & actions taken by people are, at their core, logical. it’s not that he discredits or thinks people don’t have emotions, but that he believes there are always core beliefs driving someone. &, no matter what, people should act in accordance with those beliefs.
these beliefs, generally, are self-serving: protect your own life & climb the mountain before allowing others to climb & potentially trample over you. if there’s any chance mu qing is put at major risk from being kind, he (mostly) won’t choose to be kind. self-sacrifice has never been something he can wrap his head around; he loves life more than anything & it’s canon his greatest fear is, indeed, death.
when people continuously go out of their way & risk everything just to make some sort of difference, mu qing’s first question will always be “why?” because it really doesn’t make sense. usually, he ends up insulting them & shrugs them off because why talk to the unreasonable? let them risk their life if that’s what they want so bad.
on the other hand, because he’s this way, sometimes it’s the right move to keep them safe himself if they won’t. at the end of the day, the reason he’s logical is because he believes people will turn out much happier this way, it’s just his way of being kind.

❣ for Harriet/Elizabeth? Because I feel like they're a package deal. ;)
send me ❣ for 3 pros & 3 cons of dating my muse!
Tumblr media
The Perfect Package includes: Dr. Harriet Jekyll, Psychiatrist and great-granddaughter of Dr. Henry Jekyll. And Elizabeth Hyde, London’s Spirit at Night and your ideal human raccoon.
PROS:> Generosity that goes above and beyond. Because of the wealth she has received from Henry and the work she’s put in, Harriet always giving to those in need. She is always willing to buy your meals, no matter the cost.> Always open to listen. Being a Psychiatrist has its perks; she doesn’t mind at all if you have feelings or thoughts bottled up that you’ve been wanting to express for a while. She’s always understanding and has the patience to help you.> The perfect definition of independence. She may not seem like it, but she has a secret weapon to help her in times of need: Ms. Elizabeth Hyde. She has grown up to taking care of herself on her own when necessary and isn’t your normal “damsel in distress”. She’ll even protect you, too, if you’re caught in the fray.
CONS:> Married. Pretty self explanatory*.> Keeps things bottled. From her past with her parents, she has a tendency to keep her own thoughts and feelings bottled up or written in journals. She had a deep fear that her parents would throw her out of their home if she said she wanted to be like her great grandfather when she grew up.> Elizabeth Hyde. She doesn’t take her serum to regulate her transformations, but the good thing is that they often happen at night. But, if you know Elizabeth well, she’s a lustful type. She’s Harriet’s secret weapon and greatest weakness. Be careful.

Tumblr media
“Hanako! You need to stop visiting senpai during class! It’s distracting and shes trying to focus!” Kou scolded him.
“What? Would you rather me visit you~?” Hanako grinned at Kou.
“Of course not!!” Kou shouted back.
“Boys…” Nene sighed as she opened the door to the bathroom. She grabbed the mop in the corner of the room and Kou grabbed a bucket and a rag. Yashiro started mopping the floor and noticed a black origami flower.
“Hey guys, what’s this?” Yashiro asked as she picked up the flower. She quickly threw it down when she felt it burn her finger tips, wincing due to the pain as she held her injured hand close to her. The flower started to unfold and smoke came from it. Hanako and Kou quickly came to her side, preparing for battle if they had to.
Soon a figure was able to be seen through the smoke. The figure looked like Hanako but was different. They wore a different outfit than the twins. This person also had two wisps but they weren’t like Hanako and Tsukasa wisps, they were gray and red and blue blotches painted the gray parts.
“Amane!!!” You hugged your brother tightly, catching him off guard. “I missed you so much!! Tsukasa said I could find you here~” Hanako felt his heart sink as he looked at you, afraid to speak.
“Wait… who the hell are you?!” Kou demanded an answer. You looked to the boy, debating whether you should answer his question or not.
“I’m Y/n! Y/n Yugi!! The middle child of the Yugi triplets!!” You smiled at him.
“Y-y/n… I’m sorry… I-“ You turned your attention back to your brother who was muttering.
“Don’t be sorry, silly!! I missed you!” You giggled “The last I saw you was when you killed Tsukasa and I thought it would be boring to be the only sibling alive so I killed myself as well!” Tears formed in your brother's eyes by your words, his heart crushed hearing you talk about the situation so casually. He hated the fact he killed his brother and he hated the fact you decided to join them in death. It crushed him to have this weight on his shoulder. He felt responsible for you death.
“I didn’t want that to happen…” He tries to wipe away his tears.
“It’s all in the past now!! I’m here and that's what matters, right~?”
Yashiro recognized this. Hanako cried seeing his sibling again but she didn’t know he had another twin. If you were anything like Tsukasa, she knew she needed to do something about it. She quickly stepped in between you two, holding her mop up in the air as defense.
“That’s enough!! Stay away from Hanako-kun!” She shouted at you causing you to only laugh.
“Are you going to defend my brother with this?” You snaps the mop in half and throws it to the side. You placed your hands on her shoulder and pulled her close to you “Why are you getting in the way of me talking to my brother?” You whispered to her “Well~?”
“That’s enough!!” Hanako broke you two up. You were quite shocked with how bold he’s become since you last saw him. He seemed different to you in a way.
“Fine, I guess I should be going anyways!” You grinned at the three who were looking at you in fear. Your whips started to encircle you in a cloud of gray, red, and blue smoke and you vanished. “Bye~”
